With the next T20 world cup coming up next year, they'd be daft to not bring him in.How Joe Root doesn’t get in the T20 side beggars belief.
When Root was Test captain and Malan was number 1 in the T20i rankings it made more sense but since they've shed Malan, Root seems like the natural number 3 for England in a T20 team - they seem to have decided that Will Jacks isn't the answer, Moeen retired and Bairstow seems to have been completely forgotten by the ECB, a lot of firepower in the top 3 with Salt, Duckett and Buttler but only Buttler truly world class out of the three of them and I always feel like you need a bit of variety/bit of an anchor in your innings.
