How Joe Root doesn’t get in the T20 side beggars belief.

With the next T20 world cup coming up next year, they'd be daft to not bring him in.

When Root was Test captain and Malan was number 1 in the T20i rankings it made more sense but since they've shed Malan, Root seems like the natural number 3 for England in a T20 team - they seem to have decided that Will Jacks isn't the answer, Moeen retired and Bairstow seems to have been completely forgotten by the ECB, a lot of firepower in the top 3 with Salt, Duckett and Buttler but only Buttler truly world class out of the three of them and I always feel like you need a bit of variety/bit of an anchor in your innings.

Too many wickets in clusters again. Still feel like there's too much emphasis on not getting bogged down and being aggressive at the risk of losing wickets. Someone needs to dig in, a bit like Buttler did. Rotate the strike, and anchor an innings. If you're not timing it at all then you're better out than soaking up deliveries, but we're losing far too many wickets in games.
