Will have to stave off heavy defeat tomorrow against probably the worst county in recent years. Rock bottom.
The weather might help us but it can’t disguise the paucity of talent, ambition and planning. This is a cricket club where cricket comes last after hotels, conferences and The Hundred.

Just looked up the score. I don’t know how much longer they are due to play for but would you not put nightwatchmen in instead to bat if there’s only a few overs left in the day? Jennings out.

Raingods tomorrow might provide (yet another) draw.

They have put a NWM in now Jennings is out.

11-3.

The difficulty appears being able to distinguish between recognized batsmen and nightwatch men.

Hope it pisses down all day tomorrow and looking like it is for most of day up till 4pm ish, but what is going on here I thought they would walk this division, evidently not

Benky getting plenty of pelters but he ain’t playing…….
He didn't play for Gloucester either. I'm puzzled, nothing against the young bowler signed for two weeks only from Hampshire when the season is only a week old and Bailey is fielding as twelfth man. Where is Will Williams and Aspinwall got a four wicket spell at Lords and then is in the second eleven.

I’m really not sure where all the optimism came from for this season. Same players and coach as last year when we were truly awful and were rightly relegated. Things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better, I fear.

That’s what I was getting at I didn’t read about many departures, so my instincts told me that surely they’d be strong enough to get out of Divison 2 at the first attempt!

When I see teams (this format) of the likes of Glamorgan, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northants, who have mainly always been in the second tier, I thought we’d be ok, but it appears not

Soon be hit and hope format anyway maybe things can be better then or maybe not…….

Is there any financial point of Lancs being good at 4 day cricket?

All the money is in T20/100.

No probably not these days, but I’m a proud Lancastrian, was sweet when we finished above Yorkshire anyway as it used to win me a few quid with a lad I used to work with, and was always a decent one day side which goes back years well before the baseball format started anyway

A fourteen year old lad called Vaibhav Suryavanshi has just made his debut in the IPL. He hit his first ball for six and scored a very respectable 34 from 20 balls.
He plays for India U19s.
A superstar in the making?
