That was a cracking day out. Great innings by Pope after a nervous start and as for Bumrah, what a bowler. Hopefully England can now build on this and get at least somewhere close to India's total.
If they bat reasonably well, a draw is favourite. But beware Bumrah!

Yes, far better now than some years ago when I felt it had fallen behind the other main Test grounds and was looking pretty shabby tbh. The new Football Ground end is excellent with great views from the top tier. We were in the middle of the Western Terrace as usual!
If you travelled back across the Pennines I hope you shut the gate behind you. We don't want the Yorkshire riff-raff coming over here uninvited.

Mental that it didn't sell out yesterday. I'm looking forward to the test at OT

Looking at the weather today there is going to be a lot of cloud coverage and bit windy meaning hard to bat we get within 80 be decent bat all day we should be leading so a pivotal day

We really needed Rootie to pull out one of his big knocks. That was a kick in the balls, so late on. I think we'll be short, by quite a lot of runs. Unless Brook pulls out something extraordinary — which, to be fair, he's capable of doing.

Agree but now Pope has to stay in all morning not be relax now he has his ton and get out for under 150 Brook for me is getting like Crawley just attacking not thinking of sitting in for a bit is fine he is a far better batter than Crawley though and interested in how he bats today a big score today of say 75+ staying in to at least tea would make me think he will become another player England can rely on..
