Quietly confident we can accomplish this now.Got a feeling we might not make 100 in these conditions.

I posted that before they stopped for rain. If they’d played then, we’d have really struggled.Quietly confident we can accomplish this now.
Absolutely, i began thinking of Jennings his form of late has been excellent, that left me to look at the everages as other than Lancs I havnt realy followed CC this season , And noticed Hammeds averageI did nearly mention him. He should be on the radar, but he doesn’t seem to play “Bazball”, so not sure he will get a look in. They’d probably pick Jennings ahead of him.
Didn't Botham purposely run him out once because he was scoring slowly?
Sure he did but no idea who it was against.
I don't remember Barrington at all, he was a bit before my time mate.
Could have been worse. You could have been watching Chris TavareSaw Barrington score the slowest fifty I think I've ever seen against India. I'm pretty sure it took all morning, and then some. Watching paint dry would have been thrilling by comparison. Can't remember exactly which year it was, but it was in the mid-sixties. My mind must be playing tricks on me, because I thought it was at Trent Bridge.
Actually, just doing a little bit of research, it's not the place, it's the opposition. Pakistan, ’67. And it was Trent Bridge.
Don’t think Jennings is good enough for England, big step up from club to countryAbsolutely, i began thinking of Jennings his form of late has been excellent, that left me to look at the everages as other than Lancs I havnt realy followed CC this season , And noticed Hammeds average
The elephant in the room, everyone is terrified of questioning. Bumrah the Bunga. It looks like it’s bent on the start of delivery but ends up straight it looks very suspect but he’s Indian so there will be little appetite from those commentators who feed at the IPL trough to question it.
I would agreeDon’t think Jennings is good enough for England, big step up from club to country
A very dodgy decision that - Root was furious, understandably. This umpire is crap how can he give that is he sleeping he gives out ones that on first viewing it’s sliding down! This clown umpire needs to go or wake up
I think Botham ran him out on purpose because Boycott was a notoriously bad runner between the wickets and was the acknowledged cause of several run outs (e.g. Derek Randall at Trent Bridge in 1977) and always expected the other batsman to sacrifice himself for his own sake. In Boycott's eyes, he was the best batsman so the other player should sacrifice himself in the event of a running between the wickets mix up.Didn't Botham purposely run him out once because he was scoring slowly?
