Sad that it’s over, it was a great stop gap for the football.And that is why test cricket is still THE format. The 20 and 50 over stuff is fine, and I understand the appeal of it (having a match that finishes in one day. But you can't get better than what we've seen this summer.

And we were missing Archer and Leach…I think them playing the world test championship put them at least 1 test ahead of us in terms of getting up to speed, and Woakes and Wood missing the first 2 tests was a big factor.
Having said that they lost Lyon who the whole bowling attack is built around.
I don’t think either side is as good as some would have us believe, and India should be a much stiffer challenge.
We could very easily have won all 5 tests. 2005 was great but in my opinion, we didn’t outplay the Aussie’s quite as much in that series.
