We handed them those first two tests. That Aussies side is some way short of some of their teams that have come over in the last 20-30 years.

I think them playing the world test championship put them at least 1 test ahead of us in terms of getting up to speed, and Woakes and Wood missing the first 2 tests was a big factor.

Having said that they lost Lyon who the whole bowling attack is built around.
 
And that is why test cricket is still THE format. The 20 and 50 over stuff is fine, and I understand the appeal of it (having a match that finishes in one day. But you can't get better than what we've seen this summer.

Moeen has just called time aswell. Not a bad way to go out and to be fair he's contributed a fair bit even before this afternoon. Dug in with the bat and picked up useful wickets .... Smith and Labuschagne at Headingley spring to mind.
