It was fair. The rules were there all along. New Zealand knew they had to score more in the super over.

The butterfly effect of Stokes’ bonus runs suggests you have no idea if Stokes would have hit two 6s and we won without a super over.

However you try to call it unfair and unwarranted, England won the ODI final.

Guess we should relinquish the World Cup of 1966 too as the ball didn’t cross the line.

I never said it was not in the rules, I am just saying it daft crazy wrong unless you win that way

Mistakes can happen in any sport and did the linesman really see the ball cross the line, We have had the technology to say otherwise

The super over in cricket is the penalties in football, So why not keep going to somebody wins like in football
Winning on boundaries is like winning in football on corners, Daft
It was a warm , sunny evening in July .Why no second super over ?

Would this rank as the worst defence of a trophy in any world sport?

I feel like Jody Scheckter's 1980 Formula One title defence takes some beating. From winning the championship to a lowly 19th position the following season in the same team.
