Will we get English conditions though? If what Vaughan has said is true and England have asked for good pitches, will we get enough sideways movement? We hace no out and out pace to trouble them otherwise. Can our bowlers stay fit with the schedule, can Stokes bowl? If so can he stay fit and captain in all 5 tests?

Not taking anything away from the team and their style of play under Stokes, but the team selected for the first test has a bit of a Dad's Army look about it, with players undercooked, patched up, and brought out of retirement. And Pvt Pike is still opening the batting.

Thing is the Aussie bowlers can swing the ball just as good as ours! With there spinner they have the edge if game goes long! Can’t wait it’s going to intriguing that first session if we bat first

I agree, I would drop Crawley and put Johnny Bairstow to open and bring in Foakes as wicket keeper

Think with our batting if we get blown away say 4 down for next to nought with the rest of our batting we could scrape to 200+ still

Foakes would outscore Crawley over the series anyway, Bairstow has the ability to really put the aussie's under pressure from the off, and you get a genuine top class keeper behind the stumps as well. I just can't fathom this Crawley obsession from Baz and Ben, his stats are dire.

That said this Aussie team looks pretty formidable. Head, Green and Carey are a big improvement on what they had four years ago. Outside the opening pair I don't see a weakness.

22 years since they won over here ..... Mind you they came pretty close last time!

We're struggling at the top of the order because Crawley is so poor.
Means Pope will be in very early on which makes him vulnerable, especially as he's still relatively new to the number 3 spot.
It's a scandal that Foulkes isn't in the squad and I think Wood should've been in over Robinson for the first test.
Bringing Moeen back at least gives the batting more depth.

Hate to be negative but I just don’t see how we win this series, our bowling attack is extremely one paced and I have no idea how we are going to restrict Australia to anything below 350 with flat wickets.

With their bowling attack I can see us struggling to get close to 300 especially with the way we play. As an example when we played South Africa (who arguably have the best bowling attack we have faced thus far) we scored over 175 once in 5 innings. Reason we win that series was because of South Africa’s weak batting line up.

Australia are a cut above anything we have faced and probably anything in world cricket. I am fully expecting an absolute hammering tbh.

Possibly. Still maintain to this day that it flicked his front pad first therefore not out. Whether that would have been picked up during the review process we will never know.
