Yeah he isn't in great form at all but I feel , after his broken leg, that keeping was far too much for him and with having one of the best keepers in the world, Ben Foakes, I think they missed a trick by not picking Bairstow just as a specialist batsman. It's not as if Foakes can't bat, he is really decent.During those 5 innings he scored 10%( at the rime) of his test career runs , it was really hot streak , he's simply not on that streak now , for me there isn't a place for him, but I never expected they would change :(
He (Bairstow) hasn't kept or batted well in this series. He doesn't deserve his place in the team. Foakes must really have pissed off the hierarchy at the ECB.Good point but all the runs he got last season for England was when he wasn't keeping. He is the epitome of Baz ball.

Sorry I should have been clearer, I think the batting from the third wicket going down was poor. Fair play to Knight and Cross thoughI think it was just really good batting from England initially. The pitch must be a bit of a tricky one if the Aussies struggled as well.
