Watched the game yesterday in the hundred - anything leg side was called a wide. Today loads of legside bowling… nothing called wide. Stuart Attwell umpiring I think
Need him at the emptihad…….."pretty much a full house" (at Lord's). Seriously? There's a lot of empty seats there tonight.
Do they also moonlight at the ministry of truth............."pretty much a full house" (at Lord's). Seriously? There's a lot of empty seats there tonight.
I must say I've watched more of it since it first started than I expected to. I think there's a bit of snobbery regarding the Hundred - like many on here, I prefer test cricket over everything else but I don't think us test cricket aficionados are the target audience here. Let's face it - most youngsters aren't going to get into cricket watching a whole day of a test match and the kids are clearly one of the main groups of people that the Hundred is aimed at.Don’t know if it’s because we’re 3 years in now, or because the ashes has made me really want cricket to grow and be back on free to air tv, but I’m starting to get behind the hundred a bit now.
Weather today might be OK, but it's rained for nearly 3 days there, and the last game was abandoned without a ball being bowled, so might not get much play.Looks fine tomorrow for Lanky at Scarborough. Final at Trent Bridge clashes with West Ham away.
That really is poor.A right fuck up at Scarborough - weather okay but no play yet due water getting under the covers overnight.
Watching the Youtube channel there`s 8 groundsman just stood staring at the pitch or their phones
Ground seems to be well populated. Just said on the commentary that this is one of only two games at the Oval for members through August.Down the Oval today for the 50 over game . I would say there about 5000 in attendance, Surrey got a decent team out.
As Zanvoort said, it is the wicket that got wet, there is no drying activity on the outfield and it has been dry since the early hours.Weather today might be OK, but it's rained for nearly 3 days there, and the last game was abandoned without a ball being bowled, so might not get much play.
Two at Guildford, Lanky and Hampshire.Ground seems to be well populated. Just said on the commentary that this is one of only two games at the Oval for members through August.
Lancashire will end up with very few points if this keeps happening to them. Was in Sedbergh Monday & Tuesday, had ticket for Scarborough but decided to come home yesterday, got a full refund on my ticket and missed nothing, feel sorry for all cricket fans who turned up only to have the game abandoned due to incompetent ground staff..
Unfortunately cricket is weather dependent, Lancashire always suffer……Lancashire will end up with very few points if this keeps happening to them.
Playing home games in a sparse Yorkshire Dales village on a ground with poor drainage doesn't help.Unfortunately cricket is weather dependent, Lancashire always suffer……
