Get in Notts!
One thing he and Geoffrey had in common….Geoffrey is spot on about Tuffers and batting and for me Tuffers being the clown and making the “Batting expert” ruins it for me! Tuffers was a good spinner for England but anything else in the team utter useless!
My mate went down, said he had a good day out.Staylbridge getting hammered at Lords
Hmmm
Is that the village cricket final the one Woodhouses were in a few years back?My mate went down, said he had a good day out.
Watched the other lot bat on YouTube it was apparent it was all over after about 25 overs.
Yeah, Staley beat last year's losing finalists in the semi a few weeks ago but lost to last year's winners. Is that the village cricket final the one Woodhouses were in a few years back?
I would have loved to have played at Lords or Old Trafford when I was playing.Yeah, Staley beat last year's losing finalists in the semi a few weeks ago but lost to last year's winners.
Like Tuffers said, Bowlers are not in the team for making runs, Bowlers getting runs are a bonus for the team
I could listen to Boycott all day and he speaks the truth, Sometimes the truth hurts and people don't like it
The only thing is he's a rag fan, but everybody has a weakness
He’s retired from test cricket. Our Ashes squad has been announced:
England's Ashes squad: Ben Stokes (captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook (vice-captain), Brydon Carse, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Joe Root, Jamie Smith (wicketkeeper), Josh Tongue, Mark Wood.
Will Jacks is the surprise inclusion, getting the nod over Rehan Ahmed and Liam Dawson as our back-up spinner all-rounder. Thankfully, Jamie Overton was omitted.

Assuming everyone is fit, I think our team for the first test will be:Jamie Overton retired(!) after his two test matches!
Interesting that he's opted for Jacks, not sure if he's good enough as a spinner to be the main option but perhaps he doesn't feel like Bashir will be ready and Jacks certainly helps boost the batting.
Maybe not a surprise that Woakes has been left out due to injury/his previous form in Australia, but I felt like Woakes was their go to man to open the bowling in the post Anderson/Broad era - I felt like they may have brought back Curran if Woakes wasn't to make it - maybe that's curtains for Woakes England career.
Brook being the VC to me suggests that they're probably going to go with Bethall over Pope, which I know many have pushed but I'm not sure personally.
Archer, Atkinson and Wood being fit is going to be key if we're to win out there. I don't think we will, but I don't think it'll be the hammerings we've had in our last 3 visits.
Ahmed averaging over 50 with the bat this season (16 FC innings) and took 23 wickets at 19 (13 FC innings).Jamie Overton retired(!) after his two test matches!
