Cricket Thread

This pitch is mad Aussies bowling well but hitting the pitch a lot harder than yesterday! Think we have played a bit to loose! We look totally rattled! Maybe that 99 lead from 1 at lunch just made some of our players thought one of the others will get a big innings and give us a big lead! Need to lead those wide balls early in the innings really
 
Our batting in both innings also begs the question why we only had one warm up match, and that was England v England. Surely batters need more matches than that to get their touch in proper match conditions in another country with a different ball to what we are used to?
 
We lost our last five wickets in the first innings for 12 runs. Yes, they're tailenders, but you'd still expect 50 or 60 runs from the second half of your scorecard, surely. Now we've lost 4 wickets for 11 runs.

So; what's the bare minimum we'll need to make it a contest? 250? It seems a long way off at the moment. Yes, I know we prised them out for little more than half that in their first innings. But will they bat as badly again?

If Atkinson Carse Archer and Wood can slog 30 or 40 between then, and say another 20 from Smith and extras, that just about gets us a 200 lead. One things for sure, we won’t need to get up at daft o’clock on Monday
