Five reasons for English positivity before Gabba Test

I posted a few weeks ago that journos these days take their readers to be idiots. If you care to waste 5 minutes of your life give it a read. Make sure though you have nothing in your mouth.

Ah, I remember that Boycott occasionally would bowl with his cap turned backwards. From the original reply, I assume that you're no longer allowed to bowl wearing a hat?
Well done. Currently you may bowl wearing a cap only in specific circumstances such as a hole in the ozone layer or crazy temperatures. Otherwise the umpire may tell you to remove it and batters can object.

Never heard of him. Just how esteemed is Matthew, really?

I see Crawley has been included in the team yet again. Staggering. And Wood injured again. He's one of our best players, but it is baffling, bringing him on a gruelling Ashes tour. The guy just can't stay fit.

He will get 3 test matches and if we go 3 down he has failed again that’s when I see him being dropped kicked out the team! That then is a complete failure after backing him for the last 2/3 years all because they thought he will bang in this Aussies series! Problem is what I mentioned before this series is the pitches in Australia have changes there is a lot more movement plus a pink ball game!

Look this test match Crawley could turn up get a big 100 or contribute big to a win! Won’t hold my breath though

Against England, it hasn't lost any of the 11 games it has hosted across day and day-night matches since November 2015, but has romped to victory by margins of 120, 275 and 146 runs in the three pink ball matches the nations have played.

The Big question is, can england bat for more than 60 overs in the whole of the 2nd test ?

I can see being over quickly with the pink ball, I have a feeling most of England's batsmen will be in limbo and get out to LBW's trying to defend because Bazball didn't work. The other thing that's Bad about Bazball is the lack of movement and you get stuck in the crease.

Spinner Jack's has been picked, so 100% england have to get some runs on the board to defend with only Archer as a fast bowler,
