The other night I listened to the cricket on there for most of the night and have to say Tufnel is one of the most pointless side kick ever he brings no information chat what’s going on or incite he continually tries to make a joke out of everything! Vaughn is far superior to him!

I've always failed to see what Tufnel brings to any broadcast. He's the equivalent of Micah Richards.. both thick and there only for their supposed amusement value.

100% it’s a jolly up for him! He comes in with one liners never a serious point! He actually comes across as a no nought

I'm so glad it's not just me who finds him really tedious. Exactly the same when he was on QOS. Bobbins.
 
It's debatable whether many of our players would get in a Sheffield Shield side. Root, Stokes, Brook, Archer certainly. Duckett maybe.

I doubt any would for obvious reasons, CA would frown on it or not allow it.

preparation acclimatize practice conditions, all this is missing from this england team/squad
You need 4 to 6 weeks to find your game and feel comfortable with everything, then you can play to a standard good enough to compete. Then if you're not good enough at least you have no excuses and can hold your hands up and say the better team won, but I gave it my all

Agree. Playing in Australia is very different. Turning up cold to bat against the likes of Cummins, Stark etc is crazy.
In addition the bowlers need time in the middle to sort out their line and length, and fitness.
 
Who is this Will Jacks ? 1 for 107 off 19 overs and the one wicket he got was to a rank long hop. Stats say he's a better batter than bowler. If he played for a northern county he'd be now here near the Test team. Nothing like good enough.

You can not train for conditions in the nets or the indoor training centre. In the heat of being in the middle
The crowd all pumped up, You have to produce the goods; no 2nd chances or bowl another ball. England or should I say the ECB have cut corners and the players know it. being dropped in and told you have to play in a week and a 3-day game and that's it.

What should happen is to play a 3-game series vs somebody else in Australia, Playing Pakistan would be ideal because of the fast bowlers they have, also they have a big community living there

Boy, they have treated him so badly, You know what's coming in the dead rubbers, he will be asked to play both

He is the spinner they picked instead of Adil Rashid because he is viewed as being too old while a team of incredibly fit and experienced Aussie test players aged 35 take us to the cleaners, because it isnt old and they are in their prime
