You're probably right there. Though we did have some games/toys that fired ball-bearings n stuff, gear that could create real damage in the right hands. It was quite good before health and safety got serious.

Oh don't worry, I went to Blackpool with my grandparents and cousin when I was a nipper and they stupidly let us both buy a pump-action shotgun bb shooter. This thing would knock out cats.

The ride home was fun.

My next door neighbour threw my brothers shoe onto our roof once, so to try and get it down my brother started throwing stones at it, yes....yes it did....one went right through the bedroom window.

Did it have an uneven/wobbly pitch?

Yeah the ball would deviated to the players tracks or the corners that you couldn't get to.

Think it was this one (well this was the one I had)

No. That's not it. You controlled the players going up and down in straight lines. It was battery powered. Looked a bit similar. Was tomy or something similar.

I know where you're coming from, I sometimes wonder how amazing it would have been to have Xboxes and internet etc when I was a kid. Fortunately though you don't miss things that haven't been invented. I reckon I was as happy with my Astro Wars as any kid would be this christmas getting a PS4.
