The one thing that I really wanted but was never allowed to have. Grrrr.

My parents obviously thought I'd have someone's eye out if I got one.

The best one i got was an Amstrad cpc464 with a green monitor, spent hours playing Chucky Egg and Football Director.

Football Director was brilliant many a lost day, week or indeed month playing that, I got the Amstrad but with the colour monitor, spoiled I was lol.

I got this gem as a kid....

I know this sounds very sad for a mid 20s guy but I'm tempted to buy the city subbuteo team on the website!

The best present I ever got. Was well made up. my ten year old legs were soon as solid as the trees in Platt Fields!

Wow. That's brought back some memories. Had the blue one (3-speed gears, changed by twisting the hand-grip). Used to ride mine around Newton Heath. My sister had the same in red, which I refused to ever ride due to MCFC allegiance.
I remember in the weeks leading up to christmas seeing it in the shop window, really wanted it but knew even then it wasn't the best idea to mention it to mum as she wouldn't have had enough money to get it.

So made up with it when me and my sister got bikes that year!
