Why? Everyone moaned about Fernandinho's age or the age of other players. He's one of the worlds best granted but we should be looking at spending a lot less on the next Ronaldo/Mesi etc & developing them.
Utd signing Ronaldo won't win them the league, he'll keep them competitive without a doubt but it's not a given they'll run away with it regardless of what they want to believe. RvP won them the league last year but only because everyone else was shite, had we been competitive then I don't believe the RvP hype would of been anywhere near as high as its been.
I don't wont to be winning in a league where it's a two horse race every season, if they sign him then I say bring it on! If we won the league next season & they had brought in Tranny then it'd be even sweeter. Utd won because they were the best of a bad bunch last season & there's only them that don't see that, we won't stand still & you can bet if its true then our owner will of known about it (we have an agreement with Real so I'm sure they'll of tipped us off) & in turn will of planned around that possibility.
I have faith in the club & the fact Utd feel that two seasons running they have to break the bank to keep us at bay is funny, we're a small club to them they say yet they increased their wage bill & went all out for RvP just to stop us. It looks or sounds as though they'll do it again... They're worried, & what a complement that is to us.
He's always said he'd only evergo back to Utd so how anyone can be shocked if it happens is beyond me, to be honest I'm surprised it didn't happen last Summer. Roll on August I say, Ronaldo at Utd or not.

Totally agree mate, although i cant see him binning Madrid to play under Moyes,Fergie fair enough.at the end of the day if they want to spend £50 million and £200k a week in wages for a guy who will be 30 in 18 months time then let them get on with it.

Moyes is no where near as good a manager as Ferguson, besides Evra,Carrick,Ferdinand,Giggs,Vidic are all well over 30,RVP is thirty soon aswell, hes going to have to perform a miracle to emulate what Ferguson did last year, there players are stunned that hes retired and now have to raise themselves to play under a guy whos won fuck all as a manager.

They can afford him no problem, they will get upwards of £30 million for wiggy and just replace the wages hes getting and give it Ronaldo.

add to that the fact that moyles has ripped the fuck out of their coaching staff, I think the scum will struggle to emulate the team spirit they had last season - staggered, and pleased, that Gollum has got rid of phelan

Geez.. how can they afford that?

that rumour is a few days old now mate
Ahh sorry. Thought I was being clever ;)

There is talk of Nike doing a deal to get him back to the rags but in all honesty I don't think he'd play for Moyes when he could go anywhere in the world.

There was the same talk of Nike doing a deal when they signed Sneijder :-)

Seriously though, imagine if sponsors started contributing to deals for their (perceived) benefit, that's FFP fucked.

Would that even be allowed? I mean for an independent Sponsor like Nike to strike a deal like that?

The thing with Ronaldo is that his ego is equal to Mourinho's, but I also think he's a bit of a needy ****. He'll go anywhere that gives him star billing because he's desperate to win world player of the year. I don't think he likes being just another team member, he wants to be the main man, first name on the team sheet and his face plastered over all the merchandise. The money men at the rags would love it, but I'm not sure Moyes would pander to a players ego like that. He'd resent him, and it would show.

Given that Portugal play Russia tonight I think we can safely say that isn't true.
