Cristiano Ronaldo

There is talk of Nike doing a deal to get him back to the rags but in all honesty I don't think he'd play for Moyes when he could go anywhere in the world.

I think he would play for moyes, he could then play where and when he wants. Mourinho said tranny thinks he knows it all. I think he will stay at madrid though.

The thing with Ronaldo is that his ego is equal to Mourinho's, but I also think he's a bit of a needy ****. He'll go anywhere that gives him star billing because he's desperate to win world player of the year. I don't think he likes being just another team member, he wants to be the main man, first name on the team sheet and his face plastered over all the merchandise. The money men at the rags would love it, but I'm not sure Moyes would pander to a players ego like that. He'd resent him, and it would show.

And that post contains all the reasons why City should steer well clear of him.

I tend to agree Madrid is the only club that gives him the ego boost and the lifestyle he requires the only other place would possibly be Monaco albeit a shite league in France he'll be in a great place on silly money with a team capable of winning champions league.

He wont move anywhere - Marca reporting:

Cristiano Ronaldo is on the brink of renewing his contract with Real Madrid. His current contract runs until 2015 and the deal on the table would see this extended until 2018, according to Spanish TV station 'La Sexta'.

Even though the Portuguese newspaper 'A Bola' ran a story this past Tuesday that Real Madrid's star player was not planning to renew his contract, which would allow him to move on to another European club for free in 2015, 'La Sexta' sees the situation quite differently, and claims that his contract renewal is basically a done deal.

Over and above a salary increase, Cristiano Ronaldo's contract would also include bonuses tied to certain achievements such as scoring goals, winning titles and winning the Ballon d'Or.

The 'Futboleros' program added that negotiations are at an advanced stage and that the main point of conflict is the distribution of income for image rights.

Another program, 'El Partido de las 12', on 'Cadena Cope' reported that a huge offer had come in from France, for four seasons and €17 million after tax per season. The show also claimed that Real Madrid would be willing to improve his package for the two years he has remaining as well as extending his contract for a further three seasons.

I assure you Nike won't be sponsoring any player transfers to the premier league.

Too right. Nike have relationships with too many top clubs and it would cause uproar if they did this for one club. I remember City asking their Bank (you can probably guess who) to sponsor us in the 90's and the initial feedback was relatively positive but then the other clubs who banked with them - and there was quite a number - all started moaning and groaning and the plans were shelved.

Not a chance Nike would get involved. But I don't understand this "won't wanna work under Moyes" why do people think this, Fergie hasn't gone anywhere other than out of the spotlight. Anyone who thinks he won't get involved is deluded. Trust me they'll still attract players & he'll still be the one doing the persuading if its needed.
Does anyone really think Utd or Fergie would allow someone to come in & just take over the reigns without making sure they have a year or two with Fergie "guiding" in the "Utd way".
