Be interesting to see if City fans (and non-City fans who like Ronaldo) flip their opinions on the Ronaldo/Messi debate if this happens.
I’ve always said that Messi is the better player, but you can bet if this comes off I quickly change my tune to all my rag mates and say I’ve always said Ronaldo is the greatest ! They won’t be happy , Gunna boil some piss this if it happens haha

We're an approach and penalty box team, he is actually ideal in terms of his presence of mind inside the six yard box, just finding it hard to reconcile how his personality fits in with Pep!
A few years ago I would have agreed re his attitude v Pep. However, at 36 years old, even a narcissist like Ronaldo will surely understand that v Pep at City he will always be playing 2nd fiddle?

Some are likening it to the Pep v Ibra situation but at that time, Ibra was the superstar footballer and Pep was the new manager with little to his CV and even then Pep got Ibra shipped out.

I can only see Ronaldo coming here for one of two reasons

1. He is United through and through and wants to come here to be a cock.
2. He knows it’s his last hurrah and he wants to play at a club that can win everything now, because he doesn’t have 5 years to wait for another up and coming club.

Whatever you think of Ronaldo (I think he is a tit like most others) the guy is a winner and if he comes here, it’s surely because he is motivated to win whatever he can before he hangs up his boots?

If nothing else, it’s probably only a deal like this that sees us get anything like value for Bernardo. Ronaldo + cash for Bernie? I will have some of that.

If Kane is a no-go then this is a no-brainer. Past allegiances don't mean shit once a player signs, other than to perhaps piss off his old fans.

Ronaldo is probably the most professional player of all time in terms of looking after himself, making the most of his career etc. Hopefully he's also learned a bit of humility now he's coming to the end of his career...
Guardiola has always adjusted his tactics per the players available. Hopefully, Ronaldo would bend a little. Guardiola asked Aguero to initiate the press in the correct way, not to exhaust himself doing it. As for humility, that categorically won't happen. He will continue to do the ridiculous goal celebration. If this transfer does happen, of course.
