Cristiano Ronaldo

Funnily enough, according to Di Marzio, Sterling was the player Pep would have been willing to part with instead of Jesus.

But I don't believe that.
Not a big vote of confidence for Sterling. I was being flippant, while pointing out it is a solution that isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.

I ve already stated my reasons for not wanting CR7.

So all the main sources are just saying along the lines of,

Would be unusual
Wasn't in the original plan
Kane WAS the only target
Ronaldo WASNT discussed

Etc etc

Rival fans keep saying he won the 2 champions league trophies because he had Messi and it has got to his head. Anyway, thats my theory and that's the reason he would rather complete the season without a striker rather that sign the 5 times champions league winner Ronaldo in my opinion.
I must have missed the bit where we categorically ruled out any other striker.

That's more of an opinion piece than anything really. We know it would be very unlike us to go for a move like this, but this window isn't normal.
I don’t remember whoever said yesterday that it’s frustrating that we don’t go for short term options more often. They work for every other major team in Europe. There won’t be a new bit name striker available next summer. The names will still be the ones we know today. Getting Ronaldo for a year or two is a pretty damn good fix

I really don't think we are ready for someone like CR joining. He has a serious amount of followers on social media and would certainly boost our matchday ticket sales - especially in the Champions League.

However, we just don't seem to have the capability to organise the proverbial piss up in a brewery let alone implement a cohesive ticketing system that could cope with significantly higher demand.

I personally don't want to see the Portuguese show pony at the Etihad but my 11 year old son is excited at the prospect. I suspect that the club would gain a great deal of support if it happens and for that reason I can see the club hierarchy going for it

I mean that's it.

Besides, who could have anticipated Ronaldo being on the market at this point in time? I suppose if there's room for knee-jerking, this is the time for it.

You know this tweet is fairly rather vague one.

But City always say that if the right player was to become available that they would investigate the possibility, and the nature of transfer windows is that this sometimes occurs towards the end of the window.

It wouldn't be a knee-jerk decision.
