Criticism of Pep

Do you really think he Actually thinks that? i don't. He has his narrative, he speaks for his role, it is a professional cover for the subtext.

Ultimately, he is keen to see more attendance and support/noise. That annoys some, fair enough. Doesn't make him the bad manager, douchebag, or at all as cluelessly detached from the average football supporter as many here have taken upon themselves to conclude, based on a couple of his remarks.
No-one is saying he is a bad manager,he is a genius,he has been talking about the crowd for 4yrs,he isn't showing that he knows for prem games it's 98% full or for a sunday televised cup game that we should easily win 39,000 is very good, with the cl he wants the crowd to be as passionate as he is,he adores the competition ,we are mostly meh

The last couple of seasons have been mind blowingly good but very expensive in time and money for your average fan,he talks about too many games for the team not appreciating it's a lot of games for fans to attend as well

He is out of touch, there is no doubt about it

He must know the stick we get from the media but he offers it up to them, just stop it

Dont like kiperty or the dippers but to compare him to those managers isnt fair imo hes been to two champions league finals in the last two years (winning one) and is probably going to get over 100 points this season and finishing well clear of us in 2nd no matter how much i hate them and how we have performed at times this season we cant deny what klopp has done at liverpool hes atleast almost as good as pep surely?

Oh dear. You’re not allowed to say this. Whatever you do, don’t compare their transfer spend or mention Europe.

Nobody is saying that Klopp has done badly, but comparing his achievements to Peps when Klopp hasn't won a single domestic trophy is banal. Maybe Pep should start throwing the domestic cups under the bus to appease the CL fan boys?

You're right in the comparison right now at this moment but the earlier posters point that Klopp has only won the one title that has any relevance since he has been at liverpool. Pep will probably be in double figures before Klopp reaches title 3.
If we are going off managers currently right now motivating players it will be Klopp but we don't judge success over short term gains, Ancelotti and Mourinho both have better records historically.

Klopp only wants to win the cups that are fully recognised outside of this country, he's a glory boy who if he was forced to play a decent side in the domestic cups would probably fall flat on his face before the season was out.
Get real. The FA and League Cups aren’t taken seriously here, let alone in Europe. Every man and his dog plays a weakened side because whichever league they are in is a priority. And the draws have been ridiculously kind to us. Real fun to win but let’s keep perspective.

PL titles? They certainly matter. Back to back = truly massive. But bear in mind the dippers are heading for a record points haul so outside Manchester our own fantastic achievement will be consigned to history.

If you want recognition outside of England, you have to win the Champs League. So far we’ve come nowhere near it.

Great to sing our achievements but to denigrate those of Klopp is nothing more than sour grapes.

You get real, he hasn't won a single domestic trophy that's what matters. As others have said nobody is saying that Klopp hasn't done well but to say he's on a par with Pep is astonishing considering he has won nothing domestically.
Just because most people haven't jumped on the scouse bandwagon regarding ( Only European competitions are important) don't think they are miss thinking it all, domestic trophies first, happy clapping corrupt UEFA trophies last.

The europe thing is wierd though i love the domestic cups but i would trade them in a heart beat for a champions league despite hating uefa themselves. As for the transfer spends they have spent a fair bit of money but we have spend more especially on defenders and the only real success is laporte and maybe walker to a much lesser extent.

Hes winning one this year though most likley with a new record points total surely thats enough for him to atleast be in same realm as pep? Would you really not want to win the champions league over the cups?

I wish the CL would just fold bud.
