What’s the point having Perisic at LB when he’s not one and Gvardiol still has to come out and help. Their midfield can’t get back in time as well.

because he’s a senior player and he wants to play so he deserves to start even though he played only 2x60 minutes of competitive football before this tournament.

this is what i have to live with. and when they all retire we’ll have young players with 0 experience playing big international tournaments.

It’s meant to be a mix of youth and experience.

As we’ve seen with other nations. Youngsters are being given a stage to perform but with the experienced ones to help them out as well.
