My first post - can't believe it's in the Cellar. Croatia is a great holiday destination; fantastic weather, good food and stunning coastline. Few of the beaches are sandy but the water is crystal clear. We went last summer and stayed in the lovely resort of Cavtat which is around 15km north of Dubrovnik - a beautiful city. The country has a fascinating history as well. There are organised tours to Bosnia-Herzegovina (Dzeko is a demi-god there) and Montenegro. I would definitely go back and would love to visit Split as well.
