Crowd funding for the Borussia Mönchengladbach fans

i'll have my £12 train fare, £3.50 meal deal, £13.20 on 3 pints in Piccadilly tap, £5.45 on my 10 lambert and butler back as well please...

very nice gesture but a none starter I'm afraid. credit to the OP tho.

shame this will not get anywhere, the world needs more gestures like this

people whinging, it's only helping out a little ffs. cheer up.

You'd think the OP had just started a thread about empty seats or Aguero being overrated.
Fair enough if you disagree, but no need for the ridicule.

Good idea OP but a hell if a lot more City fans will be put out by the postponement.
For anusement value though, I'm sure we'd pay for the rent of a trawler to get home from an east coast port.

They have had a day out - seen a great storm - i saw a few Germans in Piccadilly Gardens at lunch staring at a pisscan dancing with headphones telling everyone he was the son of God.

What more do they want!??

Ridicule is required in this case. Its nicer than saying 'fuck off'. The world needs more folk like the op, but if everyone was Jesus there would be no one to hammer the nails into the cross ;-)

Nice gesture but I imagine that Mochengladbach will already be sorting out refunds for their fans, the german clubs tend to have a lot more respect for their supporters than our clubs do.

Fair enough lads.

Look, I'm a selfish **** at the best of times, and rarely donate to charitable causes and there are hundreds of thousands of more worthy causes. As I said in the OP I was impressed with the Bournemouth fans when they did something similar but there's not enough support to make it worthwhile. No problem.

Maybe as a match going supporter I'm a little more sympathetic to their predicament.

I'm on board.

Tbh I'm a bit of a **** and this probably colours my judgement, but I'd rather give my money to some cat aids charity if I had any to spare.

City or Uefa could offer a gesture of good will to each fan who travelled. whether its the cost of their flights or a token gesture. Gladbach should refund their tickets.

Thanks for showing some empathy. Very much welcome.

But I think it's not really about money.
A Gladbach supporter sittin in a Manchester bar said in a live talk last night 'shit happens, they had a nice day out at their risk and they don't even expect refunds from their club'.

Maybe a warm applause pre match to the rest of their lot would be a nice touch.
That's what easily could be done to show our respect.
