In another pararell with the West Wing, I fear White Supremacists could be a major problem between now and the inauguration (20th Jan) and from then on.

The world will be far more stable if Obama wins. He is a world leader in the making. Mcain in not a very intelligent man and has a gun ho attitude. I find Americans who are from the East and West coast intelligent and caring people and full expect Obama to win these states. The middle hillbilly territories are a different breed and I expect Mcain to make gains from these voters. Voting Mcain is a vote for war, somewhere anywhere.
Lets all hope for an Obama win and watch history unfold.

When is it happening, the results are announced i mean? I want to stay up and watch this.

On these isles, the main coverage starts between 23.00 and 23.30, depending which channels you want to watch and if you have access to CNN Europe, it starts from 20.00, but 23.00 onwards, in full.

I'll be grabbing a cup of coffee and trying not to get too comfy, in case I doze off!

Whatever the result this election will shape not just American Politics but long term world politics.

Now, another huge thing to watch is whether the Dems gain enough seats in the Senate to get a 60 majority. This is called a filibuster proof majority or super majority. The bottom line is it will make Obama's job (if elected) a hell of a lot easier. BTW this was something Bush never had during his administration.

And thank god he didn't!

Unfortunately, I think Obama sounds just like Blair - all sound bites and no substance. in reality he has f**ked this Country. If Obama does the same we are all stuffed.

Mentioned this to someone last night,am i right in saying that 10% of americans have come out and said they wouldn't vote for a black man?(I think this point was pushed on BBC last night and confirmed by an american lady ,not fully listening with kids rabbiting on)

If it is true then out of that 10% there are going to be a fair few nut jobs willing to try it on.
