Crvena Zvezda (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

we where always far to strong, we played well, some great passes, what ever front line we put out you are getting the same attack attack.
Most of team played well, nunes started and looked very comfortable, he is a good signing.
well done alvarez

Imagine what we could do if we ever play well…
This odd narrative, from some of our fans as well as the media, that we didn't play that well is mental. We played fantastically well, created a chance around every 2 and half minutes, the goalkeeper had a worldy (barring the 2nd goal) and we still won 3-1. Its very odd.

Too many posters on here demand perfection. It’s why they will never be happy regardless of our success.
A pretty sad existence tbh.

Don't think he's off his best really most of these chances are headers and he isn't the best with his head.
He also missed a few easy chances with his feet previous games and some chances which he normally gets on target, like the drag back from Doku or chipped attempt over the keeper. He's not far off for sure, but not at his best either.

Played really well but missed a lot of chances. Thought Nunes was very tidy in the 1st half, kept things ticking over.
Rodri immense…again.
Alvarez becoming very important for his goals and assists.
Doku adds something different, real pace.
Not Ruben’s finest night.
Pep’s face when Eddy did that semi-Cruyff turn…very funny
Job done.
Eddie's control when bringing that high ball down outside the box.lol.

Not just Haaland.
For sure, but I feel our attacking structure is built to provide him enough chances and he's asked to do much less elsewhere compared to others. So I think expectation will also be higher from him and his last season doesn't help to temper the expectations either :)

Sat next to this lad from Florida with his 2 boys, only over for the day and took this match in, I am sure he left an honorary blue even though he came to watch red star and was a Serb.

Everyone high fived his boys after the match and he left with the club shop and some great memories about being made to feel welcome, as an aside the red star fans kept at it all night too.
