Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

Same as Madrid really, the second best team but we got away with it. I think we have scored 5 goals from 6 chances over the two games, of which 2 were penalties and one from a corner.

We aren't going to carry on getting away with performances like this. Rodri is needed back desperately.
Rodders back would be huge but the difference this year is we are viable without him

The result is the performance, the rest is gossip.

Lovely result, outstanding!

So good to get a big win today after yesterday’s shit with Arsenal getting lucky yet again. Keep the pressure on and they’ll bottle it.

Nunes becoming a really important player this season.

Great performance, great win.. well done to 'The Blue Shirted Heroes from The Manchester Academy of Footballing Arts and Sciences' and all of the supporters who made the trip to Selhurst Park to cheer on The Lads (including three of our lot in the North stand!)

Safe trip home, all, bringing those three precious points back to Manchester!

(And well done to The Girls, too, great 6-1 win over Villa to consolidate top spot! A cracking day all around!)

Great result!

We were under the cosh for ¾ of the game, Palace had a number of chances to go 1-0 up and to make it 1-1… yet we won 0-3.

We looked tired today, and a few of our lads didn’t have good games, but Gvardiol, O’Reilly and especially Nunes played very well, and we took our goals well.

Oh and fuck off Henderson you cheating Rag ****!
3/4? Maths not your strong point

Comfortable win really against a tough team away from home. Was never really worried, felt like we had plenty more gears that we never had to even touch. Controlled the ball and the tempo.

All of their chances were half-chances, with the exception of the one that hit the bar (which may have been offside). Felt we defended extremely well in general.

2nd best team defensively in the league and we scored three at their place.

Clean sheet and our defens(c)e got better and tighter as the game went on despite our earlier proclivity to switch off after getting a lead.

Once again, we overcame piss-poor refereeing.

Took our best chances; we were not wasteful. And this without Doku so there were fewer chances in total.

Gave the ball away in some tough spots but the one-on-one defending especially from Nunes and O’Reilly was excellent.

We are far from a perfect side but what has really improved in the last several weeks is our mentality.

Arsenal sphincters are already tight enough; that performance will make them shrink to the diameter of a grain of sand.

Foden is properly in love with Cherki.
They are going to burn the league down.
Players like that need somebody else on the same wavelength. So important to each other, I think.

The ball was pinging around, at times.

What a treat to watch attacks with some pace to them, compared to plod-plod-plod

I think Savinho should get an assist for the penalty. That was a great run, and it lead directly to the goal.

In fact, I think that's good suggestion, I'll email the premier League after I've had a few more ales and suggest it for next season.

I've got some news for you....
