A lot of positives really today against a team we always tend to struggle with at this time of year.
Probably just not our year we've had a good run but with injuries/ageing and some of the youngsters probably a season or two away from being quite ready it's a bit of a perfect storm. Not feeling as shit about this as other recent poor results.

Yes, Ake could’ve the left back issues but he’s too in an out. Great defender when fit though.

Yes, I can see why we’ve been linked with Musiala and Wirtz. The Ckurt cases could be over by the end of the season that’s made recruiting they calibre of player much more difficult

I think a lot of players are carrying knocks and as the schedule is so busy nobody has a chance to completely recuperate, so the injuries are getting steadily worse.

Why can't we play any of the youth lads like a wright or O'Reilly in the middle just to give us some legs we won't know if they are good enough if they don't play it's obviously not working with what we are doing now

No I don’t but the club does.

Wasn't the target an average of one major tropy per season. We are dramaticlaly overperforming on that front. Don't think there will be a major expectation of winning it every year from anyone sensible in the club. Need to work out what went wrong with transfers, who we need in, and take it from there. Not a time to be losing our heads.

This group of players have given absolutely everything these last few years and deserve some slack.

Loads of factors conspiring against us. Our injuries are a joke. Perhaps the biggest one of all though is that we seem to have run out of steam. It’s almost inevitable.

Season after season there’s been a target. No-ones done 100 points.

No-one done a domestic treble.

Club never won a CL.

Throw in a treble.

No-one done 4 in a row.

It’s been relentless and I’m not sure what mountain we were expected to climb this season. Whatever it was, injuries have put paid to it. One of them impossible to overcome.

So it’s gonna be a long season, filled with games like today.

I don’t care. They deserve our slack.
