The rags game could be the real wake up call for some

or it kicks start our season

it literally could go either way equally

We can blame the club all we want for the recruitment, but it was briefed time and time again , Pep is happy with the squad, doesn't need anyone else he has solutions. So you can blame the board but Pep also takes a little criticism for his stubbornness, he was offered Kyogo if we go by reports and turned it down.

Also he was happy going into the season without another midfielder, only that the Gundo opportunity popped up we signed him. If that Gundo opportunity hadn't come up we would've gone with what we had.
I think that says it all, don't you?

Well that was all a bit predictable.

We’re boring, easy to play though and completely on our bare bones.

It’s on the off field staff as much as the players really. Pep insists on a small squad, his choice, however, we have let that small squad get smaller by selling Alvarez and bringing nobody in. We let that small squad get older and don’t ship players out, far too sentimental. We kept historically injury prone players in that small squad with little to no cover.

We play suicide football with square pegs in round holes. Pep has to take his share of the blame because he is setting them up and they are his tactics.

The players look like headless chickens. They’ve run out of ideas. We can play forward, quickly and incisively and when we do it works. But we choose not to. Do they get bollocked if they lose the ball?

I’m not arsed about winning the league or a cup, I am arsed about a collection of players earning anywhere from 100k a week and up looking like they’ve never seen a football before.

Captain cock swinger was at fault for both goals today. I’m sure he’ll be really insightful and inspiring in his post match interview and podcast. That simply wasn’t good enough from him today.

Palace are woeful and we were no better. Let’s hope we see a fitter squad on Wednesday and give a better account of ourselves.

The leadership cannot expect us to go balls deep in 3 competitions, or even one competition this season without looking at the squad and making some simple decisions.

I’d just love to know the truth of this.

Of course, Mansour hasn’t done this out of the kindness of his heart. He may have grown to love us, but initially it was a business decision and to some extent our investment on squad improvement still is.

Are we squeezing pennies?

Our recent transfer activity and ticket pricing suggests we are. But there are possible explanations, like awaiting the results of our hearing.

I’d absolutely hate to think they were taking advantage of Pep’s genius in this way.
I think it's a dropped bollock either way. The assumption that the squad was by and large, good, fit and driven enough to challenge by whoever has led us to where we are now. Injuries have been a huge factor, but some of the other things being blamed would have been evident close season.

Still poor really

Forest must be gutted that Pep used a line up that worked in mid week, only to undo it 3 days later, otherwise they'd have probably got a result against us.

We're simply unable to win games with Gundo and Lewis in the middle. Once Kovacic is back, I'd swap them two for him and Jack and we'll see a huge improvement.

Gundo is done at this level.

Rico is piss weak it's being exposed in that position when he hasn't got enough protection around him.

Fans sounded great.

We've fought and fought again to get on top over the years, don't be fooled into believing the media shit that we always walk the Prem.

Unfortunately, due to numerous reasons we're not on it, ageing team, injuries, not blooding young players previously, tired players, too many not 'on it', refs seeing a chance etc I could go on and on.

Before today's game the comms on my feed said it was the ELEVENTH Prem game on the bounce that palaces back line has been unchanged.....just imagine us with that consistency.

Onwards and upwards, the league was lost when Rodders was injured and we couldn't beat a 10 man arse team.

I'm sure we'll get a top 4, and maybe a cup or two, perhaps even to World Club champs for 6 years on the bounce.

I do thnk he is getting away with it as he is constantly being picked and making the same mistakes/giving the ball away in a team that relies on possession.
Lads 20, bang out of form and played RB, CM, RM and LB in recent weeks. He's a good squad player being asked to fill in everywhere barring up front. It's the senior players letting us down at the moment. 1st goal Gundogan gives ball away cheaply, ball in behind and walker plays the lad onside. Second gosl, absolute shite pass from Bernardo results in a corner and they score a free header poorly defended by walker. While Gundo and Walker are starting, any team with pace and I include the rags next week, will run over us and be a threat.
