Crystal Palace (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Is Issa Kabore that much worse than Walker, genuinely asking.

Saw the line-up didn't bother watching, Walker, Lewis, Gvardiol + Gudogan and Nunes in Midfield, recipe for disaster. Get used to it, this is the standard for the rest of the season, we'll have constant injuries and our razor-thin squad will be ran ragged. Don't expect any signings in Jan from the board.
Saw the line up and didn't bother watching? OK, it was an away game. What happens if you don't like the line up for a home game?

If that's the case, then when we beat 115 we need to claim huge amount of compensation, probably in the realms of 200M
I honestly don't think we'll beat the charges, not all of them anyway.
That's for another thread though haha

I won’t complain about an away point versus a team we’ve struggled with over the years, but the same concerns remain. Without Dias, that match would have been over at HT. He was colossal.

How does Palace look 10 times more solid out of possession than we do? That’s on Pep, and the coaching staff not getting it done on the training ground.

Continuing to play Walker at this point is simply inexcusable. The number of points and trophies(FA Cup/Real Madrid goal) he’s cost us over the last two years is staggering. I KNOW we have injuries but play Nunes. Play Bernardo. Play an academy player. ANYONE but him.
Spot on

Their defender cleared the ball, Rico slid in and missed the ball, and the defender caught him following through....after the ball had gone. A penalty to us would have been a shocking decision, although no worse than the sending off.

Bollocks - keeping repeating shite won't make it right.

Wtf you been drinking or swallowing ?

If only Rodri is missing, we have a decent chance against any team, even if we are not favourites. But if Stones, Ake, Akanji (3 from our main defenders in the Treble season), Foden, Kovacic, Bobb are also missing, plus Grealish and Doku not completely fit yet, then a point at Palace is more than decent.
I love your upbeat attitude, but, with the players we had out today we should be beating Palace convincingly. Too many players who are renound for passing accuracy and skill looked like Sunday league players at times.

I think sentiment got the better of far too many people in regards to Gundo coming back, even though they'd hate to admit it.
Agreed - Gundogan wanted a 2 year deal and we wouldn’t give him one - he went to Barca for a year and has come back for a year = 2 year deal. But I was one of those glad to see him back - as you say “sentiment” but understandable/forgivable “sentiment”.

I literally posted we have to accept we're the 4-5th best side in the league at the moment, perspective.

Objectivity is not blaming the ref for a poor defensive performance.

Not wasting anymore time with you.

Enjoy slagging and criticising .

Yes myself included. But I didn’t think his abilities would have gone so downhill so quickly. However, Pep trusts him implicitly even though his powers has waned and he is in the twilight of his career..

I've never understood why so many people seem to give refs a free pass when they make bent/shit decisions.

It never makes any sense to me why they can't send second yellow red cards for VAR. They can have a massive jmpact on the game just defies all logic.

If the ref had given him a straight red he would have likely finished the match it's bizarre.

United just won the ball on the edge of their own box.

5 passes later they are on the edge on Forests box.

We'd still be carrying on the chuckle brothers routine- to me to you, whilst allowing all the opponents to get 2 banks of 4 behind the ball.
