Crystal Palace (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

IMO, Akanji is only good or even excellent when the strong strong defensive players are around him. In the two years he has peak Dias, Ale, Walker, Rodri around him. And Gvadol was a good defender too. He only had to show his advantages in header speed etc but not the real game mindset. Rico Lewis was the golden boy last season and nailed his position in starting 11 when the team was with the proper back-bone players and you can say he won silverware’s as evidence too. Now he is shite. If Bobb was fit, he will be shite too because they were never really given individual exams before.
Individual exams that’s it !

I’m getting fucked off at the players who are constantly injured. Stones, Akanji, Ake it’s becoming a joke at this point. We can’t build any momentum cause we’re changing the team every fucking match. Take the draw and move on. Big week ahead
Add jack & Doku to your injured players list too. According to pep they both couldn't play 90 mins due to niggles

Disappointing to concede yet another early goal, we were half asleep and it was awful marking .... and then by allowing Palace a free header for their second, again really poor marking.... we seem to just create problems for ourselves all the time.

But we did score twice ourselves to avoid defeat, so we at least came away with a point from a game in which we were probably the better side ... judging by all the possession we had.

We are dropping far too many points though, and it must be rectified to stand any chance of us getting a top four finish.

We are simply not good enough this year. Injuries a factor but it’s bigger than that we don’t have the players and our squad is too old and too thin.
It's a combination of injuries to some colossal players, the page beginning to turn on stellar careers of some and fatigue. Yes, there's a form issue, but you can link that to fatigue. We've made history with barely a break between seasons - we go deeper into competitions than other sides and our players tend to go deep into international tournaments. Our lads are human - cut them some slack.

We’d have to go on a massive winning run like we did from this stage last season to have any chance. Doesn’t look likely but things can just click but feels like we just don’t have the squad this year unless we rectify it in January.

We took 19 wins and 4 draws from our last 23 last season.

You sir have a fucking short memory.
Either that or you’re on the wind.
Probably the most stupid comment of the day.
Congratulations
Correct. Some on here don't appreciate that Pep sees Gundo as the one who understands his tactics probably better anyone.
