Could have been worse I guess!
Eh, I think you're misreading what is going on here. I have wrote this many times but I'll write it again: if you asked Gundogan if he was good to play in every game, play for at least 75 minutes, and play in a role that was formerly Rodri's - I think he would say, no way.Instead of throwing abuses like losers do when they can't win an argument, try and respond to my points below, if you have more than 2 brain cells:
"I really think gundogun is city's biggest problem. When he plays he gets in fodens and Bernardo's way. Fodens best game was when gundogun didn't start. Gundy has no energy. No creativity - can't find a through pass to save his life. Weakest link in transitions, just can't run, doesn't even pretend to run anymore. What is the point of gundogun. No goals, no assists, no control in midfield, no tempo, doesn't help with transitions. The one thing he might have though it's the highest number of successful passes - all 5 yard sideways and backwards passes The greatest manager ever has his Achilles heel and his biggest blindspot and it's Gundogun".
Yes team selections have been the problem - not just the injuries. Today was the classic case. Walker, Gundo, Rico are always selected. Why? Grealish and Doku left on the bench despite their performances against Forest. Added to this ... why does Pep leave it so late to make substitutions? He does indeed need to have a word with himself.I am sorry but Pep needs to have a word with himself. Team selection and subs were way off it yet again.
"Play like that the rags will beat us convincingly with the amount of pace they have in midfield and upfront" Not if we play Jack and Doku. Forest dealt well with the rags. We will also beat them - if we get team selection right.Got away with that....so poor al around.
Gundo is done....he is actually a hinderance and keeps losing possession
Walker has never been able to defend crosses...he now cant defend full stop.
KDB isnt able to run....he can barely get past a jog....if he has time and space he as the magic in his boots but he aint going to get the time and space he needs...
Our midfield set up and individual players are leaving the likes of Dias (who is one of only a couple who had a good game) totally exposed.
Lewis is getting away with it (from the fans point of view) as he is from the academy but he simply isnt good enough - again like Gundo he is constantly giving up possession. His goal does nothing to change the overall picture.
The biggest issue is Gundo and Lewis and right back.....all need replacing asap.
Even Bernardo payed poor today - his giveaway that led to the second goal from the corner...
Play like that the rags will beat us convincingly with the amount of pace they have in midfield and upfront.....forget about the CL we need to focus on making sure we qualify for it next year
There's an interesting article on the sky sports website from Oliver Glasner about how Palace set their game plan based around our weaknesses. Tallies up with some of what we've been seeing recently.
Yep, I agree ..... Walker had to make more of an effort to reach that cross, or to have at least tried to put the Palace player off ....... he seemed rooted to the spot as they scored. The more I watch walker for their 2nd the angrier I get. Zero effort to win the ball. Lewis very unlucky to be sent off but his all round play was dreadful just not strong enough.
His poor performances are beginning to overshadow his past displays and achievementsInstead of throwing abuses like losers do when they can't win an argument, try and respond to my points below, if you have more than 2 brain cells:

Anyone holding their head goes off for 10mins for a concussion assessment, they do it in the nfl, if they want to bring a concussion sub on for that 10 mins so be it, but I reckon most would be up on their feet straight away, that twat last night deserved an Oscar and quite rightly the ref left him there, that albino twat needs a retrospective yellow as well for his faking it.Watched the Lewis second yellow and proves be be honest as a player is a waste of fucking time! Lewis jumped up straightaway limping while the palace player who could broke Lewis ankle rolled around on the floor at fucking cheat! Then that Hughes when he knew we was dominate in the final 1/3 looked at I think Gundo and thought I know I'll run into him dive hold my head! Why referees don't understand "the game" is baffling there is so much fake diving cheating and nothing is done!
I obviously don’t know for sure, but I suspect that Grealish and Doku were benched at Palace because of the upcoming games at Juve and against the rags. They are both returning from injury and it would potentially have been 4 games in 10 days. It isn’t just the players who are clearly out injured, we have a number of others who are 80% at best.Yes team selections have been the problem - not just the injuries. Today was the classic case. I'd rather have a go at the cheating players ( ours included) than the refs, trying to constantly determine if players are cheating, are they really hurt or not in todays super fast games, must be horrendously difficult.Watched the Lewis second yellow and proves be be honest as a player is a waste of fucking time! It seems to me that the players have taken on board Pep's persistent moaning about our injury situation and are now feeling sorry for themselves. It is what it is and if Pep would just give some of the kids a go every now and then some of these older pros could be given a rest and not be flogged to death.
We may aswell name three subs on the bench at the minute because Pep has no intention of ever starting Wright, O'reilly, Mcatee etc in a prem game, they're just making the numbers up
Graham Baker used to do that, always hiding. Nunes drifts around. And hides.Nunes is better than Philips. That’s the kindest word I can say about him. Not a bad player when good players are around him or against a weak side. but when facing a strong side, he tends to disapear. like, deliberately hide from invovlement.
Er, we were good against Forest with some very good individual performances. Far from it yesterday with probably only Dias who you could say was good. You think we didn’t?
Which is a bit sad really when you consider those major achievements. He will end up mainly associated with what is becoming a train wreck of a season rather then for the glorious moments he brought us previously. His poor performances are beginning to overshadow his past displays and achievements
I wouldn't say he's having a good season, but he's clearly having a better one. Much more involved and clearly making more of a contribution. He's like Jack - stick 'em on the wing and yer curtail half of their talents. They aren't wingers. I think that Jack and Mateus never played on the wing for their previous clubs.Someone commented in the match thread that Nunes is having a good season. I'm on a different planet to that opinion. He's fuckimg dismal. At one point today, he trod of the fucking ball and it dribbled out for a throw-in. Comically awful. Sure, good cross for a goal, but is that it? If we are going down the path of this calibre of tart, you can enjoy boring bullshit mid-table football for as long as players like him pull on our shirt. Fucking shocking player. You can throw that beach footballer Savinho into that mix too, fuck me he's a million miles away. I could swing for the scouting and procurement department, who the fuck saw talent in them?
