Crystal Palace (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Watched the Lewis second yellow and proves be be honest as a player is a waste of fucking time! Lewis jumped up straightaway limping while the palace player who could broke Lewis ankle rolled around on the floor at fucking cheat! Then that Hughes when he knew we was dominate in the final 1/3 looked at I think Gundo and thought I know I'll run into him dive hold my head! Why referees don't understand "the game" is baffling there is so much fake diving cheating and nothing is done!

Anyone holding their head goes off for 10mins for a concussion assessment, they do it in the nfl, if they want to bring a concussion sub on for that 10 mins so be it, but I reckon most would be up on their feet straight away, that twat last night deserved an Oscar and quite rightly the ref left him there, that albino twat needs a retrospective yellow as well for his faking it.

It seems to me that the players have taken on board Pep's persistent moaning about our injury situation and are now feeling sorry for themselves. It is what it is and if Pep would just give some of the kids a go every now and then some of these older pros could be given a rest and not be flogged to death.
We may aswell name three subs on the bench at the minute because Pep has no intention of ever starting Wright, O'reilly, Mcatee etc in a prem game, they're just making the numbers up

Yes team selections have been the problem - not just the injuries. Today was the classic case. Walker, Gundo, Rico are always selected. Why? Grealish and Doku left on the bench despite their performances against Forest. Added to this ... why does Pep leave it so late to make substitutions? He does indeed need to have a word with himself.
I obviously don’t know for sure, but I suspect that Grealish and Doku were benched at Palace because of the upcoming games at Juve and against the rags. They are both returning from injury and it would potentially have been 4 games in 10 days. It isn’t just the players who are clearly out injured, we have a number of others who are 80% at best.

I'd rather have a go at the cheating players ( ours included) than the refs, trying to constantly determine if players are cheating, are they really hurt or not in todays super fast games, must be horrendously difficult.
The vast majority of players deserve fucking Oscars nowadays & it's encouraged by many managers

Don't see it we battled hard yesterday just look at the km we ran! Problem is players not 100.% pro managing a squad with 3 games a week who have been out for long still have injuries or worried about getting a worse injury! Why Grealish Doku didn't start! Just think pep started them and because they it 100% get injured out for a month!

We have to suck it up because if not going to get any better anytime soon

Nunes is better than Philips. That’s the kindest word I can say about him. Not a bad player when good players are around him or against a weak side. but when facing a strong side, he tends to disapear. like, deliberately hide from invovlement.
Graham Baker used to do that, always hiding. Nunes drifts around. And hides.

His poor performances are beginning to overshadow his past displays and achievements
Which is a bit sad really when you consider those major achievements. He will end up mainly associated with what is becoming a train wreck of a season rather then for the glorious moments he brought us previously.

Someone commented in the match thread that Nunes is having a good season. I'm on a different planet to that opinion. He's fuckimg dismal. At one point today, he trod of the fucking ball and it dribbled out for a throw-in. Comically awful. Sure, good cross for a goal, but is that it? If we are going down the path of this calibre of tart, you can enjoy boring bullshit mid-table football for as long as players like him pull on our shirt. Fucking shocking player. You can throw that beach footballer Savinho into that mix too, fuck me he's a million miles away. I could swing for the scouting and procurement department, who the fuck saw talent in them?
I wouldn't say he's having a good season, but he's clearly having a better one. Much more involved and clearly making more of a contribution. He's like Jack - stick 'em on the wing and yer curtail half of their talents. They aren't wingers. I think that Jack and Mateus never played on the wing for their previous clubs.
