Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

We conceded 0 clear chances. Clear chances for us:
- Penalty
- tap in by Haaland.
- Rodri's shot.
- Haaland cross + reboind that almost got in.
- Grealish shooting completely alone and missing it.
-Foden's free kick.
- Haaland's header completely alone inside the box.
- Alvarez 1v1
- Haaland 1v1

That's 9 clear chances against 0 away against a team that is always hard for us. As I said, sensational.
I agree, I thought that was a good performance. Grealish and Haaland should have buried their chances in the first half and that’s the game.

Important win by the lads. Not easy on the eye, but they stuck at the task in hand and got all 3 point. Hate games like this, does My nerves no good at all. Shout out to the away fans singing loud and proud.

The penalty was nailed on, couldn't not give that. I thought the ref gave them a lot of debatable decisions tbh
Don't we suffer a number of debatable decisions on a permanent basis? Week after week we have sixty to seventy odd percent possession but we still get the lion's share of the yellow cards. Are we sanctioned on a lower threshold than the opposition? Yer bet yer sweet bippy we are!

Well played City.

Palarse played the usual frustrating tactics the majority of teams try against us, but we broke them down and deserved to win.

Erling could've easily had a hat trick, missing a sitter too. Rodri had a good shot saved and Grealish and Alvarez both missed great chances.

We missed the creativity Kev brings and we looked noticeably better when he came on.

I thought we looked solid at the back. Akanji gets a lot of shit but he done alright, Stones looked like he'd never been away and Dias and Ake are just getting better each game.

Bernie and Grealish were always working and Rodri is pure class.

The win was the most important thing and you could see how much it mean't to us at the end.

1 win down, 2 to go and then we'll be in good shape for the run in.

How many chances do we have to create then? 9 clear chances is a lot. And I am not even counting when Foden was alone and instead of shooting decided to pass to Haaland. Tell me a number of chances created - chances conceded away from home against a difficult opponent (for us). Tell me. So spoilt this fanbase
We aren’t spoilt, we just have high expectations… and it’s not even that, it’s simply that we can see what’s good and what’s not and aren’t too Liverpool-like afraid to be open about our deficiencies in a game. Can’t be doing with fanbases who are too scared to say what’s what.

You can have a game where we have 9 clear chances and play very well and a game where we have 9 clear chances and not play all that well at all.

Every game is different.

Today, we weren’t particularly good. We weren’t shit but we played too slowly too often and struggled getting the ball into dangerous positions when Aké and Stones were getting it in wide areas. Coming off at half time Rodri said, ‘it’s not good enough’ to one of his teammates. It wasn’t really but we got the win so the three points are a great three points.

I understand Akanji has been great for us in terms of reliability and availability but he shouldn’t be playing this many games for us, every pass is sideways and backwards plus when he does try a forward pass he hesitates and gives it away.
Have a few fouls away aswell that didn’t need to be, he great as a 4/5 th choice centre back but there is huge gaps In his game.

Not over reacting I’m telling you some, not all of our away support are knobs I wouldn’t just say it if it wasn’t true !
You still didn't answer my question
Why am I a fucking knob for asking a question? I wasn't looking for a argument just a explanation.
And for the record I totally agree some of our fans are knobheads just like any other club.

I fucking hate Palace away

Enjoyed that so much better than the Newcastle game, cant fault the starting 11 it was spot on

Missed a couple of great chances but we kept going, love Kev but we had legs in that starting 11 tonight

Glad Alvarez came on early so well done Pep.

With Kane scoring 2 today & Rashford no doubt tomorrow, Erling needed his name on the sheet tonight so fucking get in

Sleep better tonight but its now getting serious

We beat Leipzig 3-0 IMO on Tuesday & have a decent showing v Burnley then I honestly think we do the double

Which double I'm not sure but it's the Prem & 1 other:)
