Crystal Palace (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Two terrible goals to concede and thankfully the third was ruled out. I actually thought he was a good few yards off but was still relieved as you never know.
It was a different game once Kev got going and dragged us back into it, we had missed a few good chances prior to him sorting us out.
We played well in the second half, a lot more positive than we have been of late.
A victory in the sunshine is always a great way to spend an afternoon.

Thought Marmoush was magnificent, best I’ve seen him play in a City shirt.

Helped by us moving the ball more quickly. He will now have a run of games with him as the main man upfront. A nice runway into next season. I am very confident he will kick on in 25/26 and become a key player.

Was the team Pep sent out there, tactically set up correctly and mentally motivated to win from the off? It's all very well all the name callers and "I told you so's" having a w#nkfest now - but that team had to get angry and fight after the calamitous start and set up. To give it credit, it showed spirit and pride after the shameful start. It responded. Thankfully.
The name callers? Have a look at yourself in just about every Matchday thread, truly fucking pathetic. Your fucking bitterness abut people having a wank fest about City winning is just fucking weird

There was deffo no booing, dunno where that nonsense came from
When was this booing supposed to have happened? Matterface was trying to shit stir during his interview with Pep, (I heard it in the car on the way back) suggesting to Pep that he was ‘unhappy with the crowd’… Pep shut him right up.

Well, if he plays like that for the rest of the season, you have to hope that the same club who said Gundo wasn't worth 2 years, then brought him back, would be happy to turn around on the KDB decision too?

I'd hate to watch him playing like that for somebody else next year
The way he’s talking sounds like he wants to stay at the highest level. I’d hate to see him move to another prem club

I don’t think he would do that.
I’m also not sure a top club in the PL would as the wages and his injury history may put them off.
I think a return to Germany is a possibility, maybe a reunion with Vinny.

Give yourself a break for one evening. Or get back to your justified wanking
We were poor the first 20 minutes.
After that a DeBruyne Masterclass.
I genuinely didn't see that comeback coming.
Delighted to see McAtee scoring and his general play was good.

My Sky planner's playing up - instead of today's match it must have recorded a KDB highlights reel from years ago... :-)

Whoosh! Where did that come from?

Just brilliant to see all the players enjoying themselves out there again.

On TNT sports they must have harped on about the disallowed Palace goal 15 times - it wasn't even controversial, it was OFFSIDE!

On the other hand, I didn't hear a single reference to the fact that Richards, who scored their second, possibly shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

Even when discussing his foul, there was no reference to him being the last man. Blatant favouritism. They spent longer talking about Lewis' potential handball, which at 5-2 with 2 minutes left would have made sod all difference.

What a fantastic turnaround.

A couple of other unexpected results, too. A great day
I've heard no mention that the corner that resulted in their 2nd came from a free kick that was taken about 20 yards further forward than it should've been. Kova was penalised for a foul inside their D and the keeper took it from about the middle of their half.

Winds me the fuck up when the ref let's this go.

I thought we were unlucky to go two or three down, and started well. But it was looking bad until King Kev rolled back the years.

I still don't think we are as far off it as some on here have said this season. A couple more big signings, Rodri back, Foden back to his best and we are challengers again.

Was more than enough on the pitch today for top five.

Good stuff.

Getting Rodri back to full fitness is like getting to play another midfielder. We immediately see an end to this random inconsistent nonsense we've been witnessing and control games again. We don't have anyone else even playing the same sport as him right now. Just have to hope his recovery has been managed properly and we get him back without a season of complications and niggles.

Well that was a turn up, very enjoyable

It was like the old days when we were good :-)

When that 3rd of theirs hit the net I, and everyone else no doubt was fuming, thankfully VAR did it's job.

KDB thought "fuck this, do you know who I am" and got to work. Well assisted by Gundog and Kova too.

Even though we scored 5 we still missed some chances, could've been 10.
