Crystal Palace (H) Post Match Thread

Our steeliness (and luck and everything else) has been gone for some time now, ever since the game with West Ham that we won, but conceded so many goal-scoring chances. IT seems every speculative attempt around our box is almost a certain goal. This game was a telling proof about weaknesses in all of Pep's team in not having a strong-minded player on the pitch, when the shit goes south. Apart from Kdb nobody wanted or was able to do something meaningful with and without the ball. Kyle is going through the catastrophic drop in form and he needs dropping even if it means dreadful three at the back. Bernanardo is also a shadow of himself since the last international break. And then injuries!

I think Pep lost it when he flipped out at Sterling over doing a couple of stepovers. He has been way too negative with some of our players. I think they are starting to chafe.

Groundhog day.
Both full backs Gundogan Jesus struggling again.
Add in Mehrez who did nothing when he came on.
Lack of ideas after their second goal a worry.
Playing Stones instead of a midfield player didn't work for a second time
Been coming for a few weeks now at home a result like this.

It was poor, reminded me of some of the last season Pellegrini performances. Rockets need putting up arses and we need a fucking clone of Fernandinho ffs.
Some need rockets.
Others are exhausted by the intensity and then only being picked out for their faults.

When you play badly, you need a bit of luck. What you don't need is the opposition hitting 35 yard wonder goals and terrible leftbacks drilling in perfect shots from outside the box. Just one of those days tbh, you can't always play well. Some players were really poor though, particularly Walker who's been struggling for a while and Stones who clearly just isn't up to the job. Too many of the average players out there today, along with out of form players and we paid for it.
Also needs mentioning that Zaha is a fucking cheat who should have been off in the first half, any referee with a functioning spine would have already booked him for his first outrageous dive before he picked up his booking for repeatedly fouling.
Just one of those days, need to just make sure we bounce back and win our next few as everyone will drop points unexpectedly at one point or another. Liverpool have been getting away with their bad performances, but that luck won't last all season

Blame pep for that. Looking at his starting line up seems he thought we were playing Rotherham or Burton. Massive disrespect to palace starting with stones and Jesus with KDB and Sergio onnthe bench

We were unlucky today, that said fair play to palace for executing their game plan....as a team they were solid together and lucky their chances went in.

did you see ed`s- gullit-esque pass????
anybody ???

On to the next game......
