Crystal Palace (H) Post Match Thread

Had a couple of days to reflect on our recent defeats , Chelsea we play off the park and fail to take our chances and they score with their only shot on target in the first half , we give Chelsea something to hang on to and Sarri is no mug he's been doing it in Italy for years , lesson one. Palace score a worldy and Walker gives a stupid penalty away which costs us the game , lesson two. We need to cut out the mistakes , take our chances and pick our best team , and we will be lifting the title again in May , easier said than done But we do have the best coach in the world and he will be working 24/7 to get this right , these are halycon times , Merry Xmas to all blues.

Hear hear bud ! Merry Christmas !

I think they’re allowed an off day. That, coupled with playing against a team who played very well and scored a very good goal and an absolute worldy, meant we lost a game of football. There is sometimes a rag-like sense of entitlement to win for some posters on here and that, given where we’ve come from, is not at all understandable.
Equally, I’m not sure whiy people are so critical, especially as the manager we’ve got seems to get an awful lot more right than he gets wrong.
Maybe you are right but having reflected about this for a considerable period of time I think since the Rags game we have been very poor, in particular our defence. I said for the last two years that the league would be won or lost in the period after the November international break and this might be the way it turns out. We are losing that spark of last season and doubt is starting to creep into the players minds. Hopefully this is a temporary thing and we will soon be back on the bike. But losing at home to a team like Palace is a massive blow and one which we will need to put behind us big time starting tomorrow. The Liverpool game is a must not lose now and one we really need to win. Perhaps this campaign is just one too many for Vincent, Ferno, Merlin and Kun the spine of so much of our success or just maybe if we are still close come April they will have one last throw of the dice. Here's hoping. Happy Christmas. Keep the faith!!
