Dunno Kaz you tell me?

Stats are only part of the story. He’s been bobbins for most of the games this season but does come up with the goods occasionally. At Leicester he was fucking running games and wreaking havoc all over the show. Seems a shadow of himself imo.

Not sure what you mean by him learning. He’s a premier league and POTY winner. He should be well past the ‘learning’ phase.
Fucking hell are you serious? some take a yr to adapt to what pep wants,he has about 6 goals and a few assists i think whilst adapting if you object to the word learning

No not the same, gabby has had a long time under pep in comparision, mahrez has been here 3/4 months and is scoring and assisting whilst finding his feet and learning a style so far removed from what he is used to
He's 21, compared to Mahrez who is 27, so less experienced, and less mature.

Also you're saying above that Aguero needs to be playing to get back to form, but isn't this the same for Jesus, who just has got back to form, and therefore needs to be playing to stay in it ?

The reality is, it not quite so black and white, Mahrez needs to learn yes, but while he is sometimes good, he often isn't at the moment, and he's not consistent enough to keep Sterling or Sane out (or Bernardo), and his brief sting in the centre wasn't even close to good enough. Jesus has worked hard and kept going whilst Sergio has been out, and right after he's found some scoring form (the rest of his game was good anyway), you want him out again, when in fact he needed (needs) a run of games to keep his, so its hard to see the argument that the experienced Mahrez should be playing to get into form, and the younger Jesus should just be in form whenever asked to be.

We have a very talented squad, and it all needs to be used equally well, and it will be, with a game every 3 or 4 days for the next 8 weeks.

Mahrez is a class act and will come good as he is quite impressive at times. Should start against Palace, cant be doing with people who wont give him a chance. We have had enough players over the years given uncalled for stick by our own fans.

My post was sergio needs to play his way into sharpness,i said nothing about gabby,it's not my problem how pep sorts it out just as we know sergio needs to play to get sharp,if i had to chose who to play to get goals it would be sergio for obvious reasons,if i want someone to make space for others i would pick gabby, the bottom line is i want them all to do well as that means we'll win things,my whole point about gabby is he is a striker so needs to score, now he is all is well, pep can sort it out from here, they both need to be sharp and ready
Mahrez has his uses, whether he can adapt and learn remains to be seen,i don't think he is out of form as he is scoring and assisting but is trying to adapt, for me our best is raz one side and sane on the other, the twins and kev in the middle but that can't happen every game, who would be a manager eh

I wasn't having a dig, just saying its not black and white, and that all need to play to be fit/sharp/in form, and we all want all of them doing the their best, because as we saw last season they all contribute a lot. We're in such good hands (99% of the time), we should just enjoy it all.

The Dippers will probably scrape through against Wolves with yet another dubious decision going their way , maybe a ball punched into the net would be ironic and establishing a unassailable FOUR point lead , so need to win this convincingly and improve the goal difference before the Dippers put up the bunting and proceed with their street parties.

I know you weren't having a dig,me saying sergio seems to set a red alert lol,i'm having fun being a blue, how could you not, love this time of year although i'm not sure the boys like playing every 3 days ha

Give the man a break.
If you watch the edited highlights he created and got away three good shots on goal, he was our most productive attacker in that respect. OK maybe he should be putting at least one of them away but no need to be concerned at this stage.
Remember Bernardo last season, it took him a while to settle in and now look at him.

Bernardo was being played out of position, Mahrez isn’t. Bernardo was a 22 year old kid last season. Mahrez is 27, a premier league winner and POTY. The comparison is nonsense mate.

Deadly serious. 5 goals and 2 assists in 16 prem appearances playing for the best attacking team in the country.

Shite for 60m that imo.

So we have to play Sergio, whilst he is not fit for purpose, in order to get him fit. That is detrimental to the team.

Your “best” is leaving Dinho out.

Weird.

If that miss ends up costing us the League, he will never live it down.

If we fail to win the League, it will have more to the excellence of the eventual winners and the collective inabilities of our squad in a number of games, rather than one missed penalty. However, it will needless be cited as evidence by those who have already made their minds up on Mahrez.
