Aw, piss off. Week after week, season after season we bring home the trophies and yet some are never satisfied. Take all references to the club away and you'd swear this was a forum for a club trying to avoid going down sometimes.

Probably because there were only 7 subs last year not 9. If we had the likes of Grealish, Laporte, Ake, Phillips on there, it would look very strong. Just been unlucky with injuries.

Some seem to struggle with the reasoning that the bench is weaker as we have 4 top players out. We still have a world class XI & some top players on the bench.

We can’t sign someone every time someone gets injured.

Given that Alvarez and Gomez have only just joined, you don't know that for sure. I've been watching Alvarez since I first heard we were interested in him and he's a very exciting prospect. In Argentina, many coaches rate him more highly than Aguero.

Gomez has looked very good so far, reads the game well. But all those who used to moan about Zinc now have somebody else to moan about.

We have 4 quality CBs. Can't really have more than that for 2 positions.

We have 2 DMs for 1 position. Again more than that doesn't make sense.

We had no striker last season but now we have 2 and can always revert to false 9 if needed.

We have 3 FBs for 2 positions but have Lewis and JWE as cover. Probably 1 player light but how are the academy lads ever going to get games if we have 2 (or more) senior players in front of them in every position.

Just been unlucky with injuries at the start of the season but we have enough cover for most positions.

Thats a very optimistic take....the reality when experience and injury is factored isnt quite as rosey.

I think we'd only do that if any of the injured players are likely to be out for an extended period of time.

Yes maybe, so? They wanted to leave to play more!
Unless you propose we should kept them with a contract premise of playing Zin as a starter instead of Cancelo and Jesus instead of Haaland.
Them leaving, was inevitable.

It's amazing how people forget how many zillions of times we were screaming that Jesus CANNOT score effectively at all, he always make a billion fakes and delays shooting etc etc, and we need a real striker.
