Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

To be honest Its probably a good thing we didn't get a late equaliser, champs league is more important
You could be right.

I just can't get my head around trying to play how we use to, knowing full well the players aren't good enough to do it.

Even if it means conceding possession, or not pressing, bring teams on us, or just crossing the ball more. Any basic change of tactics.

It will be the flip of a coin on Tuesday. Scary.

I had 150 on at 10/3 for palace, won 800 on scum last beating us last season. Wasn't confident of us beating them either. I fly malta In the morning to straight into the malta kitty it goes. Couldn't give a fuck if people say you shouldn't bet against your team haha atleast I can have a slight lacklustre smile after watching that shite!!!
I had 50 on Palace lifting the cup at 12/5.

So boring. No cutting edge whatsoever. Haaland a 500k a week passenger at the moment. Embarrassing to pass up the opportunity of a cup final penalty.

Only Doku gets any credit for me. At least he took people on and wasn't like a metronome side to side garbage.

Also confirmation of why KdB is done at this level.

Congrats to palace. Great fans, don't begrudge them a day in the sun.

Henderson saying he didn't know which way Haaland would have gone, but certainly knew Marmoush would go to his right. Bad luck for us.

Don't know how many times we saw the Akanji sideways pass to Kev on the right side leading to absolutely nothing. So frustrating to watch.

Well surely he'd want to take the penalty today and prove a point when it comes to his penalties.

Numerous forwards aren't good at penalties but continue to do so, Surely the "best centre forward" in the world can bury one from 12 yards.
Yes, I fully agree with your first sentence, but if he had taken it, there is no guarantee he'd score. That is just another feature of his game which has declined markedly over this season and last. However, in his defense, he must be massively both bored and frustrated all the time on the pitch, given the lack of service or even touches. Pep is wasting him in this system, and simply MUST change the system to actually involve Haaland at least some of the time. The way he is deployed is a waste of his talent, and he doesn't press, so with him featuring, it's like playing 10 on 11 sometimes.

Pep continues to amaze us with the same incredible piece of magic, match after march: he makes a 6'4" behemoth completely disappear before our eyes, again and again.

We would have found a way if Henderson was sent off. He made a good stop from Haaland before the incident and a couple more match winning saves afterwards.

Where do we start?

Lets start at the fantastic football over the last 10 years, the Premiership trophies, the FA cup trophies and NEVER forgeting the Champions League win in Turkey. What a fookin team we've been and what a set up from coach, staff, board, CEO and owner.

We have been a bunch of very luck footy fans.

Today is just another bad day in a poor season for a team that normally dominates, yep it hurts, but its not over in a long shot.

Its hard to take, but we're closer to a Premiership winning team than being a mid table team, and I still have faith in Pep to get the players in to play in that can play a dominating game with more creativity.

I don't think we've been found out, but lack the players to play in a Pep style. Starting from CB and upwards.

Gutted, but thankful to this team, and hopeful that in the near future we are watching another Pep master class.

Shoulders back, chin up, blue and don't let these moment define us. Crack on.
