Kevin was definitely the best out there today, followed by Grealish. I know Pep likes Grealish and Bernardo to play close together, but with Palace defending the entire game with 11 players there just wasn’t the space for it. They ended up getting in each other’s way and it created more problems for us than for them. The game was crying out for wingers that hug the touchline in order to create space in the centre channel. Unfortunately, since we lost Leroy, we’ve always struggled in games like this. We really do need this back as an option.

Gave it Stonesy. On a number of occasions he made crucial tackles or blocks. Led the defence well.
