Crystal Palace PL (H) Post match thread

Disgusted at three things today…

Walker diving in and leaving the major gap that gets exploited - time and again, he’s playing like an 19yr old Micah Richard’s hoping his pace will recover the situation

Pep not changing his formation when it was clear the game was to be managed - Gvardiol is pushed up as a left winger when Palace were in the ascendency in the final 15 mins

The fans who left on 80mins - utter disgraceful - the game is in its final throws - we are battling to stay in front and the usual mass exodus on 80 mins… if you need to get home early - consider staying at home and letting someone who will stay to the end and help raise the team have your ticket - pathetic and complacent

Agree with first two pal I’ll admit I left when pen was given. Couldn’t face it. I was too pissed off. I put £5 on palace to draw after first one went in. The result was obvious from that point. The players checked out around 65 today so can’t blame the fans. Walker is not a cpt in million years. He’s been incredible for us but at present he’s dump

Todays game was the same situation that has plagued us for awhile now. We create so many chances but hardly ever finish any, whereas the opposition can create 1 or 2 chances a game and score. Something needs to be done about it as we are bleeding points.
We're the polar opposite to the rags in that respect.

I fucked off the minute that penalty hit the back of the net.
Thought it was better for my health.

I'm sorry, but on what earth are you and Pep living in that he defends Rodri's red card versus Forest as something that "can happen" but a bad mistake while trying to clear the ball from Phil as something that "cannot happen".

Not to mention him not calling anyone else out all season as far as I know. Despite, you know, the actual defenders being atrocious all season. It's a wildly unfair criticism of Phil no matter what way you cut it and it just furthers my belief that he's treated differently than players who were bought versus coming up through the academy.
I’m not going to call him out for trying to clear the ball, but inside the box is not the place for a big swing of your leg.

However, I do have something g to say about him dribbling into trouble in the middle of the field right before the pen!

Sometimes, you just have to make the pass, not try to dribble one more player, while on the run.

I did not say anything about the Rodri comments, for me he could/should have called him out as well. I'm saying that I have no issue at all with our manager calling out players making mistakes that costs us points. Which, in my opinion, Phils mistake today undoubtedly did even if the whole team played poor.

He is hardly setting the world on fire in his 3rd season is he? You are being very generous.
He HAS to be setting the world on fire? Why cant he just be an integral part of the team, which he did quite well today I thought anyway. He drove forward, scored didnt he?

I'm not for one second denying that Phil had a howler in those last 5 minutes.

I just think the comments from Pep about it are fucking gross and unfair as I can't recall him singling out moments for dropped points by individual players all season despite it happening more than ever.
