This is going to be a tough, tough game. Need a good dose of luck. We're gonna miss Merlin, a lot. He has been in tremendous form.

Jovetic definitely needs to start, not enough creativity with just Nasri playing.

I'd go

Hart
Zabaleta
Kompany
Demichelis
Kolarov
Garcia
Fernandinho
Milner
Nasri
Jovetic
Aguero

The feels we'll have if we win this and Chavs do the Dippers....

Edit: missed that Yaya should be playing. Would bring him in more Jimmy at this stage if fit

I'm so excited about this weekend's football and what we might achieve by close of play sunday evening.

I enjoyed our battling performance on Wednesday, grinding out a dirty victory; the first 30 mins were City of Sept/Oct 2013 - brilliant forward play, attacking in numbers, lots of chances and Harty being caught out on the break too!. I thought Aguero was on fire for the first 25 mins and inspired others to push on and attack the goal! Next match he'll be that much stronger and will last longer - he's just world class in his position! ( Zabba scored for goodness sake..... yesssssss).

Loosing David Silva is a blow, but not fatal, and if we are progressing AS A TEAM then we must expect players to 'step up to the line' and perform.

Chelski will absolutely go out to batter the dippers; Mourinho's false words today, about a weakened team, is more evidence of his facile mind games. He hates the dippers and so do his players and, technically, they still have a chance of winning the league!!!!!

The singing on Wednesday was massively improved and during the first half we created a really spirited atmosphere of support for the team; they manifestly enjoyed our chanting! Loved the signing of Edin's name.

I can't get to the game Sunday (poo) but I'll be glued to the box (all day). We are definitely building up our momentum again and players are gradually gaining confidence in their abilities to beat teams without our supposed "marquee signings" .

I think the forum will be a buzz sunday evening when the table will evidence our real opportunity to sprint past the dippers, at the last minute, and once again, cover our stadium with pictures of our second BPL title in two years!

The final game at home will be just unimaginably electric if we are, as I absolutely believe we will be, in a position to lift that BPL trophy. Come on boys lets shareour passion and belief that our boys can once again be the best team in the league. Blue Moon is rising.............again!

Blue Moon is rising, now where have I seen that before.

Navas has an ankle injury, but I'm not sure when he's due back.

Bloody nora not another injured player. I am starting to think we should just hand Liverpool the trophy and call it quits for the season.

A spectacular post!

A combination of raw emotion, beautiful colour and reasoned thoughts.

Churchill could have done with something like this! This is enough to get even us old geezers excited for the coming games.

Will all depend on what happens before at Anfield.

We're looking for a shot in the arm, we desperately need it THIS weekend, otherwise I feel the reality of the situation is such, we will lack the required motivation to get the maximum from both the Palace and Everton games.

Neville was right, the other night.

If we had already played our game in hand against Villa, the pressure would be so very different on Liverpool.

Due to the various fuck ups on our part, we have been waiting, hoping, praying and indeed expecting, Liverpool to slip up somewhere. But 11 wins now and still nothing. *Surely* they will have to fuck up somewhere sooner or later??? If they do go on to win 14 straight games and take 54 points from 57 in the second half of the season, then that would be some incredible achievement.

That's the difference between the true professional , the true champion , a true champion team and truly professional team Tolmie and the also rans.

No matter the circumstances they motivate themselves to do better than they did before.

I said before and I will say it again , there are some footballers at any club including ours that live and breath by the motto that near enough is good enough.

It's not tha they live for the paycheck its just that when a mountain has been climbed they cease to be motivated by climbing a higher mountain a second time.

Believe me it will be tougher next year than this year to be in the hunt for the title with 4 games to go.

I think MP knows full well which players are up for the fight and which players are not and if he had his way he would bring in players who are up for it and who in some cases maybe not even as well credentialled as some who he knows cannot give him the titles he must obtain to keep his job.

A whole ramp of reasons will prevent the decision makers from bringing in the necessary changes in one window to ensure we are better placed and will be better placed to win the title next season than we are right now to win this title so the change to strive for better will come form those still with the hunger to succeed ,more so plus those that come on board.

We can do it , but again the success of a manager in this regard and his worth to the club rests on his ability to identify , change those he still requires for the better and bring in those that will complement this change.

Next season we will see the relative strengths in MP on full display in this regard failing some disaster in the next 4 games which is highly unlikely to happen now.
