I probably should've checked pre-flight booking but how / where do you sort the visa?

Go to visa supermarket, sounds naff but I've used them for India & Russia.

It's about £110. Takes about a week.

Moscow is a fantastic City.

But keep your wits about you at all times, not just match day. It is not a friendly City. It can be very friendly, or not.

Last time we were there we saw someone shot in the head, in a cue for a bar/club. The Boar Hound I think it was called, yet that same night we hit several other bars, had a massive food fight, drank curb side with a pimp and his brass till day light. So asides from seeing a murder, it was a fantastic night out.

At the time of year of the game all bars will be inside, best get local advice of where to go, as squares and streets won't have visible bars.

Moscow can be fantastic, it can be awful.

Stay smart and you'll be fine.

My only advise, avoid public transport.

Trains were fine when I was there, some of the underground stations are fantastic

There is an amazingly nice underground in Moscow. Far better than almost any city in Europe.

I used real Russia based in London to sort ours. Good service and quick enough. About £100 if I remember.

Does anyone know yet if the game is being played in Khimki again?

It's where they're currently playing their hone games so I would assume so, their website is available in English

I don't like away supporter box that have safety window surrounding and locate at top corner of stadium. Zenit st Petersburg is where I'm waiting ahead. Moscow is nice place to visit but St Petersburg is much more beautiful.

Agreed last year was brilliant - I am looking forward to the trip but not the cold weather. We went in a local bar circa £2pint and £15k for a litre of Vodka in the bar - stayed in hostel £20 per night - return flight was £114 from memory - visa circa £110 via courier service - agreed with other posts - city is really nice but be on your guard - had great trip round the city thanks to Greenie

its all opinion of course but to say its a shithole is way off the mark. the russians we met were great and the city is just awesome.
