CSKA Moscow v City - Post match discussion

Pellers got the message re Dzeko and hopefully tonight will have shown him why Garcia never got a look in under Mancini.
3 points is all that really matters but we got away with it a bit against a very mediocre team. As has been said we should get 4 points from the last two home games and this year 10 will get us through so job almost done.

I only saw the second half and I thought we looked quite shite. But I'll take a scrappy win away in Russia, in 0 degrees, on a plastic pitch that's all cut up. Now for two home games to finish the job.

dont listen to the media, they are anti city

dont listen to people who listen to the media, they are ignorant

a win is a win now lets look foward to chelsea!

Question for all the Garcia slaters..What the fuck has Navas done?

I thought the same about what people said regards Dzeko.

Navas' first touch was awful tonight and didn't have much of an impact in general.

Dzeko is just awful mate-to be honest I cant understand people still giving him chance after chance....

we won..celebrate sergios two goals rather dzeko not scoring..

Negredo didnt score either and he was on the pitch 50 mins longer than Dzeko..

hard fought battle which we won..

Great win that on a shit pitch.

Excellent and gives us a great chance now.

I expected the worst on that pitch so to come away with a win is fantastic.

Great win. A bit shaky towards the end but an away win in Europe is great under any circumstances.

Obviously Garcia didn't have a good game.

I seriously don't understand how there is anyone left to support Dzeko. Comes on for ten minutes, mis controls the ball twice and then misses from a metre out. It would be forgivable if he looked like he gave a shit.

But they're the only two real negatives.

Would YOU give a shit?

"Dzeko is my starter, blah blah" (Pellegrini).

Doesnt score two games - go to the bench.

Second season in a row....probably has had enough bulls*it, and cant blame him.

Behave.

Dzeko was his starter and the only person whose fault it is that he no longer starts is Dzekos.

Negredo out-performs Dzeko in every aspect of the game so deservedly starts the games now.

Dzeko needs to man the fuck up and start putting some effort in to get his place back. He was woeful when he came on tonight.

As for our performance it was poor. We got away with it tonight and it looks like we're going to have to score at least 3 goals a game in order to win games comfortably.

Considering how wasteful our team is going forward, it's probably not a wise move to make us wide open in midfield and at the back Manuel.

Re: CSKA v Man City Post Match Thread

HUGE 3 points, might turn out to be our 3 most important int he group stage.

And lets all pray Komps is back for Chelsea, thought of Hazard, oscar and Schurrle running at Garcia terrifies me

Win away from home in the champs league and still some moaning twats.....gotta love some blues

As posted previously, it was a fantastic result and really glad to see us win away from home in the best competition in the world.

Doesn't mean there can't be a few criticisms?

OOO my loving heart. Still cannot fathom how Hart kept it out.
Thank goodness.

Cska surprised me with their pace and I do think our defence is a little shaky. Hope it will improve soon, otherwise its a great win and 3pts on a sh*t pitch.

I don't Shit myself every time Navas gets the ball that's for sure

I remember feeling this way when we had Jamo in goal.

All I know is that it is frigging needless to torture city fans with already frayed nerves by putting him in defence when we have Richards and lescott.

Very true , poor again today and overall disappointing. I would try and move dzeko in January and go for Lewa

Negredo had the assist on Aguero's second goal though. Plus he didn't miss 2 sitters from 2 feet from goal that missed the net by 10 yards. He held up the ball well while Dzeko didn't.

Pathetic, Sky. Absolutely pathetic.

Got the feeling all at SKY were gutted we managed to win, Tyler absolutely gutted their goal was disallowed, fucking Wankers the lot of them.

We are half way through 4 away games and have won both, great win. Lets be happy and hope the scum get beat :-)

Quite a few players missing for them tonight apparently.

Love to see them bottle it at home.

Dzeko now knows that he's not number one choice for sure.
So we will have the sulks and lack of application as we saw last season.
Needs to be sold in Jan if we can.
Would start giving Jovetic regular games in his place now.
We don't need a load of Center forwards, Bayern don't.
