It was snowing in Moscow today in the morning and was raining 6 hours later. I think it will start to snow in the middle in th emonth and there'll be no rains on the week of the match

I hope they already started relay/repair the pitch. CSKA will try their best to have this match at Khimki for their supporters too. Now there is no match playing at Khimki as far as I know. Hopefully pitch will be recovered during this 3 weeks time. Otherwise I will catch Колобок bus to St. Peter.

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

No action on a pitch for three weeks should be enough for our game to go ahead.

Game or no game, where's everyone going for a pint? :)

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

I'm on the easyjet flight from manchester on the day of the game and I'm going for the piss up anyway so if anyone on here is sorting a minibus out please let me know.

I'm flying home the day after so I was just planning on having a good session until I have to go home so I don't need a hotel but the visa application asks for the details of where I'm staying and I'm presuming putting the pub on there won't do, could I just put someone else's hotel details on there or will i need to book an hotel, if this is the case can anyone recomend one, cheers.

You need more than just a hotel booking. You need the hotel to provide you with a visa support document for the application, it acts as your invitation to Russia. You won't get a visa without one. Some hotels charge for this and some won't give it unless your room is pre-paid.

I've got a feeling you need to check in somewhere so they can register your visa once there. It might be difficult to leave if your visa hasn't been registered. There may be a way around it but I'd give one of the companies that sort visas a ring for some advice. I used www.realrussia.co.uk and the club recommended another one. Good luck anyway

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

You need invitation letter to apply for visa. The hotel/travel agency/company/person who gives you invitation is acting as your host providing the accommodation for you. You just put their name into visa application form.

Practically some travel agencies can provide you invitation letter without accommodation. You only pay for invitation letter fee. In this case you still need to put their company name into visa application form. And when you arrive Moscow you can go to other travel agency and pay money for them to register your visa. You can contact Russia travel agency from internet and pay money on-line for so called invitation letter but please note it normally take 3 - 10 days for invitation via internet. So it would be easier if you can find UK travel agency who you can leave your passport and they sort out visa for you.

Regarding visa register, If you stay in hotel, hotel can register your visa when you check in.

In any case, you don't have to register your visa if you stay less than 72 hours.

Please re-check from net, I am just a traveler been in Russia few times.
