CSKA Post Match Thread

2012 all over again. That was a shocking decision but we got what we deserved for that 2nd half performance. It was worst I've seen from City in last few years.

I don't understand why we are so poor in Europe. We were terrible second half, we made too many unforced errors and gave the ball away too easily with sloppy passes. We had no creativity at all going forward second half either. We are probably now out of the competition but even if we weren't we seem miles off being able to challenge to actually try & win the thing.

Saying that, we were denied a blatant penalty & the one they were given was extremely soft. If ours had been given first half we would have won the game.

Really pissed off, this squad has an endemic mental problem and sadly, even if they've done a good service in the league (though performances have been disjointed all season), some of them will have to go, because they clearly don't have the balls and mentality to win in Europe.

3 wins from 3 games or we're out, simple as, he HAS to sort it, our performances, our application, our commitment, our consistency, he has to do it NOW.

We as a club shouldn't take our failures in Europe any longer, it's not just the manager as we've been through two, it's the players and we have to rectify it. It's not acceptable and it's damaging to our club.

Utterly fucking wank display. Players should be strung up after that. They were shit and we just gave that away by sloppy naive shit football. We got exactly what we deserved. Sick of it every time we play CL.

At 60 mins the players started blowing out of their arses. Gave them a lift. Midfield that were excellent out of possession up til then vanished. Silva, Yaya and Milner looked like they'd just worked my night shifts second half..

Yes, the penalty was a scandalous decision. And yes, we should have had a penalty in the first half. But we were abysmal in that second half. Why can't we perform in Europe? Are we frightened of the CL? Is it poor coaching, poor management or what?

Worst 45 minute performance in a long long time. Sitting back against a bang average CSKA side thinking the job was done. What the f+ck was Navas all about coming on and dicking about with the ball. Obviously under instructions, but poor tactical instructions.

As for Doumbia squealing like a little girl trying to get Fernando sent off, and then getting up to score.

But the blame lays at the door of the manager and the players.

Yaya dragged us across the finishing line last year and it's becoming more and more evident that he's not going to do it again.

And the less said about "the engineer", the better.

Disappointing result.

It is now a battle of will between us and the Roma players and based on today I doubt that we can defeat the will of the Roma players to get through to the next round. I am getting sick of this champions league thing - one embarrassment and deflating result after another.

Pellegrini better win the premier league this year because it will be a failure this season if we dont win it after what has transpired in the champions league.

My focus is always premier league anyway but this is so disappointing and the players only have themselves to blame.

Terrible 2nd half but had the ref just done his job and awarded us an absolute stonewall and then not been a corrupt fucker, we would have been sat alright.

UEFA have made it very clear we are not welcome in this competition.

On a football front though,Pellegrini needs a fucking rocket up his arse. Wrong tactics in Europe yet again!

Complacent beyond belief in the second-half - and not for the first time - that's the important thing not the refereeing.

What a bunch of absolute soft arses. Shocking second half performance. They got what they deserved.
