Current Squad - cut or keep?

Just my own take on things feel free to add your own...

Goalkeepers:
Ederson Keep Muric Keep but revert to no. 3 Bravo Cut quality backup to Eddy required

Defence:
Danilo Keep Walker Cut (or possibly retain as backup RB) Mendy Keep Kompany backup only LaPorte Keep Mangala Cut Otamendi Keep Stones Keep additional specialist full back required

Midfield:
De Bruyne Keep Delph Cut Fernandinho Keep Foden Keep Gundogan Cut D. Silva Keep B. Silva Keep Zinchenko Cut

Forwards:
Auguero Keep Brahim Diaz Cut (on the assumption hes going) Jesus Keep Mahrez backup only Sane Keep Sterling Keep

So for me that's Bravo Mangala, Delph Gundogan and Zinchenko def out with possibly Walker Kompany and Mahrez to go or with a much reduced role

plus at least 1 or 2 high quality replacements (don't ask me who they are though!)
100% agreed. Close thread you have said it all

You do not get rid of any player unless you have an adequate replacement.

Those that need a replacement either permanent or as a back up in my view are: - Bravo, Mendy, Mangala, Kompany, Otamendi, Delph, Gundogan, Fernandinho and Aguero.

I’d get rid of all 5 full backs if we could, but it would be impossible to recoup what we paid for Walker and Mendy and then just as hard to find four more adequate ones

Where have the Gundogan defenders gone. They were out in force a couple of weeks ago. Not heard anything from them since. Not a one on this thread has said keep him. The mystery is why does Pep keep playing him

Is there an option to cut some of the fans too?

We know where we need to renew, we knew it in the summer, we missed out on the targets, we have suffered slightly from it recently.

No major overall is needed and the squad we have should all remain and reinforcements in DM and LB and possible striker sought.

We need to strengthen in 3 positions:
  1. Left back
  2. Fern clone
  3. Striker
Players I'd let go:
  1. Gundogan

Name me one good striker that we could sign who would want to compete with both Sergio and Jesus

It would have to be a young shit hot striker with bags of potential. Clearly an older, established 1st team player might not fancy it. Not saying it’s easy but point being Aguero isn’t getting any younger and I’m not sure Jesus can fill his boots...

Aguero is world class and Jesus is a big talent. A shit hot young striker wouldn’t want to compete with that IMO. He would probably find a club with an easier route to a guaranreed starter spot
