Had we kept Angelino and Maffeo, we could have had capable replacements for both fullback positions. They might not have been ideal and probably not fancy enough for some, but they would have been comfortable playing in their natural positions and under Guardiola’s coaching improved. If we have squad players, they should ideally be comfortable playing in their natural positions.

Agreed, I know that we couldn’t predict Mendy having another long term injury, but with the importance of fullbacks in the modern game, Walker being overplayed and we only got a few million for each, it seems daft in hindsight to have let them go.

I’m guessing it’s bexause they’re quite short and we struggle with balls over the top, but at least it’s their natural position.

Walkers prime asset is his pace which he has to use a lot to bale himself out of his own errors.not sure if any of his crosses have ever found a blue shirt ?

If Aguero doesn’t improve in the coming weeks, you do wonder when the club will do the inevitable. Sergio looks a shadow of what he used to be, it’s genuinely sad to watch him. Some people want to get rid of Jesus and keep Sergio, but it ought to be the other way around with a world class striker coming in.

Gundogan - don’t think that needs any explanation. Nor does Mangala and Bravo.

Zinchenko needs to move on, he’s taking up a valuable foreign spot and we’re not getting anything in return.

Kompany’s time is up, I’d keep Otamendi as 4th choice for one more season and bring somebody else in.

Who goes out of Delph and Mendy? Depends who we want to bring in and if we need to make a foreign spot available or not.

No you’re talking bollox. He’s not in form and has at least 3 bad games now so he’s finished, rubbish, awful. Get rid. In fact release him on a free. And don’t let him take any training gear with him. Same with delph. And serg. Bloody fraud. ;)
