Alright lads, back to the sane world of this thread to talk about racing not argue with twats. So with the jumps all but over what's everyone's view on the season? For me sprinter sacre is going to be a star, jumped beautifully at Cheltenham and aintree. What could stop him? Can yo see him stepping up n trip? Sir des champs for gold cup next year? Hunt ball WOW.

I assume you mean the 'ban the one race a year I watch' brigade?
Idiots,the lot of 'em.
The logical progression for Sacre would be to up him in distance as he matures, and the Gold Cup must be his for the taking at some future point, barring injuries.
Sir Des Champs I am still not 100% convinced by,but I may well be proved wrong.
Hunt Ball has progressed in leaps and bounds, and must have found the best part of three stone of improvement, which is incredible.
Whether that can be sustained into next season is up for debate,as I feel he may have found his level at Aintree.
yes mate them lot.
I think hunt ball can win a grade 1, he must of been tired at aintree, but he was there and there abouts come the end. roll on cheltenham 2013.

Flat season is awlays more interesting as regards new horses. We'll see the offspring of the likes of Henrythenavigator and New Approach this year.
Also be interesting to see how the likes of Camelot and Maybe do this year. I know Leighton will be willing them on in the Guineas and Derby but i think we have some very good horses in England. Most Improved has been backed from doulbe figure prices into 2nd fav for the Guineas and also the unexposed Top Offer.
In the next few days im going to post names of some horses to follow this year. Will look to post around 10 just incase some dont make it to the tract.
1st of them is going to be Trade Commissioner. Mentioned this horse in this thread a couple of days ago after his debut run at Kempton. Hes trained by John Gosden and hes only made the track once despite being 4 years old. Hes owned by Lady Rothschild so he wouldnt have been kept in training if they didnt think he was useful. Hes been gelded so if he goes on to be a great then we wont see any of his progency.
He ran over 7f on debut and that trip was way too short. His sire(Montjeu) was a middle distance horse as was his dam(Spinning Queen). He was entered at Newcastle over 1m2f at the weekend but didnt run. I would think he'll be a handicap project this year unless he hacks up next time out but i wouldnt be surprised if hes entered in the John Smiths Cup later on in the year or another top handicap. I will post the night before every time he is going to run and my comments on the race hes in.

Coolmore will be helping China set up a National Equine Centre in Tianjin it will cost the China close to €2 Billion to do it all. Coolmore will train the top China Argiculture Grads at the Coolmore stud. In the next 3 years they think up to €40 million worth of horses will end up going from Ireland to China. Its a smart move by Coolmore to get involved with China who is going to be a super power money wise so to get some money and help them out early will pay off long term.

Cheltenham April meeting to come this week i'm going one day haven't made up my mind which yet!

Niall the thing is with the O Brien set up you just dont know what horses they are going to send to the big races compared to other stables. He could have 3 to 4 horses in each race. A while back you would know which horse was there number 1 as the stable jockey at the time would be on it. Now adays there is no stable jockey and it has seen Joe and Seamie all win group races and even to a lesser extent Jamie Spencer and Ryan Moore who in my view is not up to it. I dont know if he has won many group 1s for O Brien but he has been having a nightmare for them. Just doesnt seem right on them for me. IF Moore doesnt win on some of the Group 1 horses for O Brien this season I can see them naming a stable jockey for 2013. Joe is growing all the time and I think this may well be his last season as a flat jockey next year he will struggle to make the flat weights. I heard he is riding all the best 9 stone horses while Moore will be on the lighter weights 1s as Joe cant make the weight.

As for horses to follow too tricky to pick but I will be interested to see how Ger Lyons does over here and the 3 year old Fillie Lightening Pearl is going to be 1 of the horses this year I am looking out for. If Johnny Murtagh is on board any of his horses lump on is my view. They have a string of 2yos as well and Pearls Causeway may well be there best of the colts and I heard some good things about Keeping a 2 yo fillie they have. I would expect Ger Lyons to pick up a few group 1 races this year.

Also I must be the only 1 that thinks Frankel will be beaten this season. Think Black Caviar against Frankel would be a great race to see and I fancy Black Caviar to win it. I think Frankel may well be beaten more than once this season.

I think it will get a mile at the most but its a classy horse. On the Ger Lyons horses as I said only go big on them if Johnny is on board mate.
