Daily Horse Racing \ Tipping thread

Yes it is a bit odd of me being on a high horse over this actually, because i love reading old stories about royals and the upper class skull duggery that went on in racing down through the ages.Looking for conspiracy is probably foolish and a waste of my life and chip paper.i am annoyed with them for having everything, but it not being enough,i think, and i can understand easier Frankie doping himself, more than i can doping young equine..

I could see if they had horses in the the US and brought them back to the UK and they had some sort of good doping on the horses that went there as in some states they aloud PEDs for horses over in the US. So it happens over the US all the time which is wrong in my opinion maybe thats why the great European horses dont go over the US for races.

I believe sheikh Mohamed knew absolutley nothing about what was going on
Zarooni has took sole responsibilty so that should be it...and the rules of racing is the trainer takes the full rap..
Fair enough he is in charge of this huge organisation and should be aware of everything thats happening, but looks like Zarooni was just acting alone, and was being a sneaky twat
The Sheikh is pretty big on anti drugs
In fact he has been campaigning to rid horses running in america on lasix/salix for years
And he suceeded on doing so until the decison was overturned this year

<a class="postlink" href="http://espn.go.com/horse-racing/story/_/id/9010932/oliver-tait-resigns-breeders-cup-board-salix" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espn.go.com/horse-racing/story/_ ... oard-salix</a>
Anyway i'm giving him the benefit of doubt as he has given so much to this game
If indeed it does come out and he was aware of the drug use he too should be thrown out of the game for life

As for frankie, now we know why he wasnt allowed to race on monday night

A little info I just picked up, every little helps !

Timeform highlight an exciting three-year-old surely destined to make his mark in group races...

There were plenty of promising types on display at York's Dante meeting last week, but nothing caught the eye in quite the same fashion as Henry Candy's ultra-impressive Doncaster winner Cape Peron. Making his handicap debut off a mark of 87, the twice-raced Cape Peron was well-backed throughout the day, sent off as the 6-4 favourite, and he ran out an extraordinarily easy four-and-a-half length winner, scoring with any amount in hand.

As if the performance needs marking up any further, Cape Peron possibly wasn't best placed in a slowly-run race, anchored at the rear of the field. However, he made up his ground effortlessly, cruising up alongside his rivals still firmly on the bridle before delivering an explosive turn of foot that settled the race in a matter of strides. It was the performance of a horse destined to make his mark at a higher level.

There was no element of fluke to the performance. Cape Peron arrived at Doncaster with a big reputation, the form of his Newbury maiden win - where his striking turn of foot was also seen to good effect - having been handsomely boosted a number of times in the preceding 48 hours. He is an exciting, progressive three-year-old and it will be interesting to see when, not if, connections set him a pattern-level assignment.

The Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot has been earmarked as the next target, though given the manner of success the assessor is sure to have his say. Perhaps a drop back to seven furlongs - something unlikely to pose a problem for such a strong-travelling sort - to contest the Group 3 Jersey Stakes may be on the agenda? Wherever he ends up, it is worth following the progress of Cape Peron.

Timeform Notebook:

Mombasa and Border Legend were both in action last week and although they were both soundly beaten, they remain as horses to be interested in.

Mombasa, who was expected to appreciate the step up to one and a half miles, clearly wasn't at the top of his game, coming under pressure a fair way out and finishing in ninth place. It is far too soon to be writing him off given his lightly-raced profile and he is worth another chance.

Border Legend appeals as a well-handicapped horse based on some strong form last season, but he was possibly asked for his effort too soon at Newmarket, paying the price in the final furlong as he weakened out of contention. He is in better heart than his form figures this season would indicate and he could reward his supporters at decent odds.

Jamaican Bolt - Of interest in five-furlong handicaps with cut in the ground.
Mombasa - Of interest in handicaps, particularly if stepped up to one and a half miles.
Loving Spirit - One to note in seven furlong or one-mile handicaps.
Border Legend - Remains unexposed and one to bear in mind for handicaps.
Galileo Rock - A strong stayer who can make an impact at Group level when the emphasis is on stamina.
Pether's Moon - An unexposed, progressive three-year-old that started life in handicaps on a good mark.
Salford Red Devil - Plenty of promise on debut and well up to winning a maiden.
Cape Peron - Ultra-progressive three-year-old that already looks like a group-class performer

Gabrial The Thug 2.20 at Haydock 8/1 won't be far away, the owner Dr Marwan Koukash does like a winner at Haydock.

Here's mine for York tomorrow, going with work.

1:50 - Our Jonathan (tough to choose though)
2:20 - Songcraft (hoping for a Seb De Sousa double)
3:20 - Royal Mezyan / Tiger Twenty Two (maiden, but these 2 have been out before)
4:00 - Franciscan / Reflect
4:35 - Kyllachy Rise / Grey Gazelle (I think GG can cause an upset)
5:10 - Sunnybridge Boy / Maven / Merchant of Medici (bob race, Medici is a sentimental inclusion)

I've got two's because the sweepstake at work requires me to pick the winner and second. The first horse mentioned is who I think will win, with the others second and third (in one case).

One of the worst bits of riding yesterday in the 16.20 at goodwood
Had a nice bet on Wentworth for hannon & hughes
Seven fucking runners and hughes kept it behind the lot of them and couldnt get out
Finished on the bridle & would of won by 5 lengths at least
Pisstake.

Due to the nature of the course, try and back horses that have run well there before. On the racecard look for (CD) won at course and distance or (C) won at the course.

Front runners do well there too. In sprint races 5 & 6 Furlongs horses with an inside draw have a big advantage.

Good luck and enjoy your day.

Have a good look at the balding horses running there today his old fella used to send out plenty at chester and had a great strike rate hes had 7 winners and 8 places from 25 runners at chester and has his best ratio statistics at chester, Rizal Park 2.00, intransigent 3.10 , 3.40 Mysterious Man , Martial Art 4.50, worth a sneaky yankee

Jockey on Classic Colori in the 2.10 Haydock will be in for a hefty ban. Mistook the 1/2 furlong pole for the winning post and threw the race away.

Talk about head in hands moment
The thing is,even if he did mistake it which seems to be the case,he still tried to win a bit cheeky at that point
Just ride the fucking thing out.

28 days ban
